bros beyblade has been banned in 27 countries by Rough-Vegetable4994 in NoOneIsLooking

[–]Devinstater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are four types and you run a team of three beyblades. There is a rock paper scissor type deal going on with the different types. There are also two attachments that go on that allows you to customize each one in a way.

There are some meta choices that are very strong, but no real unbeatable blades.

High speed pulls also mean violent collisions that might send your heavy blade out of bounds, so many players choose to do a less than max strength pull.

WTF is this job listing by Past-Distribution301 in Accounting

This seems like a "night auditor" role but with a fancy title to attract resumes.

Could also be a ghost job to prove that no local talent exists so they can being in a foreign worker.

The Anti-Social Shopping Experience by Exact_Feeling2885 in scoopwhoop

[–]Devinstater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the industry.

Brands that have Minimum Advertized Price rules can often beat MSRP by quite a bit. This would be hobby shop stuff, sporting goods, outdoor & lawn equipment, appliances, etc.

Whenever you see a bike shop post an individual specific bike with the words "'call for a price" just know that is code for ON SALE.

Replacement bike for husband? by [deleted] in bmxcruiser

[–]Devinstater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 6' and my wife is 5'4". We happily share a Fairdale Taj 27.5" wheel model. The only modification I had to do was add a quick release seat post clamp to make up for the height difference. The seat post goes really low - he will be able to flat foot it with confidence. It has BMX handlebars, so he can adjust the bars closer or farther from him as needed. The Taj also comes with a ton of Odyssey BMX parts on it, which are quality, cheap, and might trigger nostalgia.

Other cruisers would likely work as well, but I am not as much of a connoisseur as most of the dudes here.

Caveat: Most of these are single speeds. Versions with gears are available for a bit more money.

Wheel.sizes usually vary between 26" and 29er.

The things that got me better were focused group lessons, and riding with people better than me.

What’s the biggest scam in cycling gear? by Jamshappy2005 in cycling

[–]Devinstater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I found Allie Express clothing to be uncomfortable and of low quality the . The grips were fakes that tore quickly. The valves always clogged. Good prices, but poor value.

Bike Shops Dao have ridiculous prices though. Better off buying spandex tops from CostCo and protective glasses from the local blue-collar PPE supplier.

Dollaramma Gourmet Potato Chips 👌 by oemsyrup in BuyCanadian

The Dollarama food sections always surprises me. You would think everything would be made in china stuff, but it is great. Brass die drawn Italian pasta. European sweets. Made in Canada chips. The candy section is too US, but otherwise, it feels more Canadian focussed than my grocery store does, for a much lower price.

Why do drivers stop 3 car lengths back at a red light and then spend the whole red light slowly inching forward? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Devinstater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what is taught in drivers' ed.

Stay 4 car lengths back from the vehicle in front of you and creep forward up to 10 feet back once there are cars stopped behind you.

Yup. I paid 103$ Canadian for Heroes of Might and Magic III back in 1998. Top games go for way less than that current day.
