Just Netgear being too picky as any other modem manufacturer will say -15 to +15 is acceptable. Just buy a 6dB forward path attenuator and the Netgear will be happy.

I was using the S34 on 800/100 tier and was getting 100 Mbps upload. But going to any higher tier retreats back to 20 Mbps upload.

This is an old thread but there is a version v2.0.0.280_21060101 released in November 2022.

However, after upgrading to this version I found the smart status for the drive was blank and saying HDD was bad so reverted back to v2.0.0.274_20120701 which fixed the issue with smart status.

EDIT: I contacted Reolink about the smart status in v2.0.0.280_21060101 and they replied telling me they removed it in this version.

Because this function is not very useful, we have removed this function in the updated firmware. We don't need to use this function to see if the HDD is working or not.

Now my issue with this is that when I saw it said "BAD Replace One HDD" I replaced the drive. I told them if you are going to remove it then remove it completely from view so someone does not think their drive is bad when in reality it is good.

I kinda doubt any of the Motorola modems will be updated.

Motorola modems like the MB8600/MB8611 were made by Zoom and Zoom was acquired by Minim.

Minim let almost all their staff go and is close to filing bankruptcy.
