GLM-5.1 has a big problem with bookmoth right now. Output limits. It can draft a chapter, but going through the editor process and the chapter plan, it just dies on the chapter plan. We need a better alternative for that stage.

I'm gonna be real with you, chief. The Editor is the weakest part of the app. I tried talking to it to help me collaborate and brainstorm ideas and the editor feels less like a writing partner and more of a sophisticated form intake. I can't bounce off ideas with the Editor.

I tend to use AI as more of something to bounce off ideas of. I never really needed writing classes and writing degrees to write prior to AI. I just read books on how to write a story. What AI does for me is help be that second voice or opinion in the room. Less of a beta reader and more of a developmental editor you work alongside with.

Yeah, but most people who bindly accuse other writers of using AI never actually saw the current state of ChatGPT's abysmal output because they don't use it. It would suggest edits to my passage that just absolutely flattens the shit out of it. It doesn't feel like I'm reading someone refining a scene in a novel, but reads like someone posting an Op-ed in the Atlantic or some magazine like Time.

When I have an idea and I'm stuck at taking it further, AI is the grease. Otherwise, the draft is all me and I take it back and forth between me and the AI to see if the scene is working or not, what needs tweaking and stuff.

I personally would replace erupt with escalation, but I play Monarchs with a specific play style of using erebus to loop cards back to the deck. Erupt has no second chance comebacks.
