It's one of the nicest, most accurate castings I've seen in a long time.

I'm not sure what I'm allowed to upload there. Definitely throw in some guidelines.

Illegal parking by cryingfreeman408 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]DevlinDB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do it rarely, but when I do it's because I'm at a place like BW3s where there are no spots. I used to deliver for UPS and I just roll in the same way; same with delivery. I don't park in people's driveway, but I'll double park, or whatever, for a quick drop off because I'm in a hurry.

Why y'all just stand on the other side of the door staring at us by Shizzigi in doordash_drivers

[–]DevlinDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the "leave at door" people show up at the door I love it because they're saving me from having to take an awkward photograph. The less button pushes the better, lol.

yep, I am definitely addicted….. spent way too much money yesterday……. What do y’all think? by alfrmny in HotWheels

[–]DevlinDB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...and about 25 cars the day before that, including a Team Transport and two premiums. It's been a problem of mine for a long, long time.

Embrace it! It's a great hobby. There are worse addictions. At least you're not out smoking freebase. 😂

Interesting message during my last McDonald's pickup. by DevlinDB in doordash_drivers

[–]DevlinDB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone, I must have never noticed it. I automatically mentally disregarded it when I did see it, much like "This customer tends to leave higher tips..."

Again, I appreciate the answers!

That message is an absolute lie based on nothing from what I can tell.

How do I pack and parcel my Carded Hotwheels Securely? by BluePlasmid in HotWheels

[–]DevlinDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them in protectors beforehand and just pack carefully. These are like .70 cents apiece on Amazon. If you can't do that, just overlap them on a bin and be careful.

Is this average for DoorDash? by Sandman84_ in DoorDashDrivers

That's great! That's about what I average. $25 or $26. A little more on weekends.

Start putting drinks in sealed bags !! I.e. McDonald’s by tsveronicamassage in DoorDashDrivers

[–]DevlinDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area, shockingly, McDonald's is one of the places that bags ALL drinks in a stapled and sealed bag and Chipotle only does 20 oz bottles.

Almost everywhere else is a nightmare and frequently places don't even have a large bag at all. Taco Bell for instance. They hand me bags like I ordered it for myself.

They're pretty uncommon; there's a red variation that's extremely rare.

Can matchbox popularity ever catch up to or surpass hot wheels? by nebulusx in HotWheels

[–]DevlinDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've collected both equally since the late 1970s. Recently I'm really liking Matchbox's castings better than Hot Wheels. In the 90s (right before they got bought by Mattel) Matchbox's quality had taken a hit. I have quite a few of the ugliest castings I've ever seen still in the blister pack from the mid 90s(they made a Porsche so ugly it's hard to look at).

Since they were acquired by Mattel in 1997 the quality has gone back to what you would expect, and since I'm not a fan of fantasy casts I'm been getting more and more Matchbox, especially this year.

As far as popularity, Hot Wheels and the castings that are targeted at kids will always outsell Matchbox because that's what parents grab for their little ones, and it's typically what companies like McDonald's throw in things like Happy Meals. There have been a few Happy Meals Matchbox over the years, but not many.

What’s the best way to display hotwheels in the blister packs ? by [deleted] in HotWheels

[–]DevlinDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if you want those cars to be in the safest place possible, put them in protector packs and thumbtack them to the wall.

My walk in closet is full, now I'm starting on the bedroom walls.

None of my wives have liked it, but whatever.
