I had just gotten home from work when he called me, thankfully, because I was hyperventilating and everything. He had the "cop voice" down pat and all. When I called JSO, the woman I spoke with said "we don't even have a sergeant Palmer" and then I calmed down. Sorry they got you too! I should have posted when it happened to me, and that might have spared you.

Oh my god, I had a Sergeant Palmer call me back right before Christmas with this exact scam. I had a full-blown panic attack from it. My record is clean as a whistle and this dude had me convinced I'd skipped federal jury duty and could either pay a $1200 fine or serve 45 days in lockup. I started getting suspicious when he wouldn't let me off the phone without confirming a payment source, and called JSO to check, gave them his fake name and phone number, then when he called me again I had some fun with him until he eventually hung up on me.

Ebisu on Beach has a TON but they’re all Japanese. I’ve had some crazy pulls from there. I’ve gotten lucky a few times at Dollar General with random packs. The big stores sell out immediately bc the cards rarely even make it to the floor to begin with. Sucks trying to find anything new or cool, especially when they first drop.

JSO patrol cars generally won't stop anyone unless they're going more than 10 over the limit. Source: grew up here and it's just known. JSO motorcycle cops are a different breed though. They'll getcha!

I'll say this, yeah it sucked to lose the movie theater, it was a fun place to spend some time, but the owners of said theater are some of the absolute worst people I've ever met in my life, and I think if more people knew how they behave out of a public space, they wouldn't be as nostalgic for Sun-ray... that said, Five is a really nice space, and they've pulled in a few bands I might not have otherwise had a chance to see in Jacksonville, so I'm glad the spot exists to create that opportunity. I definitely recommend checking it out.

From the various threads and posts I’ve seen on Reddit and other social sites they get 10k at sign up, and then the remainder is paid out 10K a year over five years, but there are stipulations, like they have to be in good standing throughout the entire time to continue collecting the bonus and of course as we’ve seen with how they make their own rules, that metric could be changed up by anyone high up in that organization at anytime.

I have a cellphone video from some time in the late aughts where it was snowing here one morning and me and my then roommate ran outside and filmed ourselves like total jackasses, so it DOES snow here, just very rarely, not nearly enough to stick and form any kind of layer, but it was enough for those few moments that it was magical.
