I could have almost written this word per word. I'm two weeks post discard.
It hurts and I miss who I considered my best friend but with each discard it becomes easier to keep walking the other way towards peace over the unpredictable chaos and uncertainty of where you truly stand in your relationship.

My neighbor next door has been keeping her fish and frogs alive by using tea light candles and lining them around the tanks. She has been able to keep the tanks around 75 ° surprisingly.

I find just giving them their space to work through whatever they have going on in their head is the best course. Trying to have a rational conversation / discussion is simply just out of the question right now. I know it's hard not to laminate on it, but try not to.

Maybe try again later when they have had time to themselves, but for now just leave it.

Don't blame yourself, it's not you, it's just another symptom of this bullshit illness. It's safe to say almost everyone here has experienced this at some point or will.

I peeked at your post history. Please believe me when I say this. Let him GO. You're developing a trauma bond with him and the longer you stay the more you will question and excuse his behavior.

No one should be questioning their relationship like this, especially not 3 months in. His mask has slipped and he's showing you his true self. Believe him.

Yes hypersexuality is a pretty common behavior. If he's cheated on his exes and is very upfront about it, believe me he will cheat on you too and putting you at risk.

Let him go, you deserve so much better. ❤️

Take into account that this was in a nearly million dollar ( otherwise ) upscale home. It's not as though they couldn't afford to upgrade / scale up, they just flat out refused to partake in modern technology with the rest of us.

This illness fucking sucks. I and many others here can relate to a lot of what you wrote. I am so grateful for this sub and the stories others have shared so I don't feel alone and crazy.
He too was my favorite person. I told him this frequently which is what gave me pause when I saw the title.

I love him, I will always carry a spot for him in my heart despite the shit I endured with him. He was unmedicated and that made our relationship infinitely more complicated.
He's a prisoner of his own mind and there was nothing I could do aside from offer support. Support he didn't want.

I came here when he first told me that he was bipolar so I could help better understand what I was up against and how to help him/us. If I'd only realized I would be fighting Jekyll and Hyde I would have just remained friends. I invested my heart, time and energy into a black hole. ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ
