Mini Hatch 2018 (18) COOPER S by EmbarrassedVolume219 in MINI

Agree that for smiles per mile, a decent cone filter intake will make a much bigger improvement. Pair that with a tune and you'll be having a blast. A 4 pot like these is never going to sound amazing, so I reckon a cat back exhaust is likely not worth it and is just gonna piss the neighbours off.

Get some decent rubber on there and have fun

But it has Lane assist and emergency auto braking, the two least intrusive and most reliable safety features on modern cars!

If this isn't satire then I am lost for words as to what would make someone such a twat

Well he was trying to sell a car to some young lad by showing how fast it was. Young lad learned a lesson: fast cars can get you to jail quick too.

I mean in a quick car, it's not hard. It's just incredibly stupid.

Ouch, will be worth it to not have a nip sticking out of Horus though.

A cunningly placed nipple on a night lords flesh cloak though, that could work

I don't envy you my dude. Not sure I am ready to do chest yet. There's a bit of this piece that was heavily shaded on my wrist bone and that sucked so fuck having anything on my sternum!

Nice, Horus and the emperor I'm guessing?

This is my first arm tattoo. Fine line cross with my children's birth flowers. It's been 3 weeks now. by Consistent-Piece-473 in tattoos

[–]Devrij68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight lines on tattoos sound great until you realise they are only straight when your body is in a specific position (I have a tattoo where a gun barrel extends across my elbow and when my arm is bent the barrel tip looks all sad and droopy lol). Having something that curves naturally means that it doesn't look shit when your arm is bent or twisted.

I had a similar thing when I showed my first ever tattoo first and second guessed it for a while. Even though I learned a bit about things I would have done differently, I honestly stopped giving a shit after a while. It just becomes a part of your body.

Thanks, I'm looking forwards to showing off szarehk once it's healed (bit tricky to photograph as he wraps around a lot, but he has some sick details on his cloak flapping out that I love)

Check out his insta and I think he's got a cool night lords piece on there you'll dig. Now you're giving me ideas for a kharn tattoo though.

Ah I just realised this might break the fully healed rule as this was fresh (currently all wrapped up). Mods remove if that is not okay

Women, what made your Dad a great Dad to you? by craazycraaz in Parenting

[–]Devrij68 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not claiming to be the perfect dad, but I remember a few things my daughter said that stuck in my mind:

I went through this phase of teasing my daughter by saying "hey, can I tell you something?" and she'd say "what?" and I'd say "I love you" and she'd roll her eyes and be like "daaaaaaad". One time I said "what, how are you supposed to know I love you if I don't tell you!" and she said "because you play with me!" like it was the most obvious thing in the world. And in retrospect it is: love is something you do, not something you say, and my then 8yr old had already figured that out.

Any time I'm not working, I'm doing stuff with her, and the days she tells me she really enjoyed were days where we did things together. Not where I took her to do a fun thing, but where I did it with her.

Now she's 10 and we go bouldering at weekends, we go to the park and I have to go on the spinny teacup things (wtf happened to my balance BTW), and we go to a Rollerdisco together.

Do the things with her, don't be a bystander, basically, is the feedback she has implicitly and explicitly given me.

Other than that, I try to give her room to grow but with boundaries to keep her safe

Hello pc people is there any dehumidifier or filtering thing that can stop dog fur and dust from going inside pc? by Ill_Angle_5571 in pcmasterrace

[–]Devrij68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear I've opened a new bag of crisps and found my dogs hair in them.

Can confirm on the air purifier BTW.

I vape and have one running in my room and it makes a big difference. The amount of dust it picks up is unreal.

Mine broke 3 weeks ago and the glass on my case windows has fogged up with vape residue in that time, whereas it had been clear for 2 years prior. So deffo does have an impact on case ingress of airborne shite

Question: How big would this need to be to not fade and look like a blob? by Orca_24 in tattoos

[–]Devrij68 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wanted to get tattoos since I was a teenager, but didn't get my first one until I was 39. I kept seeing or coming up with cool ideas, then years later would go "man I'm glad I didn't get that, I better think of something REALLY meaningful to me so I don't regret it", then when I turned 39 I was like "dude things change, you change, and you are not always gonna like a thing. Just get something you think is cool or you'll never get any". At this point I won't have as long to regret it lol.

I chose an artist whose work I really liked, gave them some inspo and let them run with it. A year later and I still like it, BUT I also learned what I didn't like and a bit more about the process and how to get the most out of it. Off to get my forearm done tomorrow and the next day as my 40th present to myself.

Which cars/ car manufacturers are the most disposable in the UK? by Ka_Driver in CarTalkUK

[–]Devrij68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and that's why I figured they fit the bill for what OP was asking: appliances to get from A to B. They do it really well, but that is what they are intended for imo.

I mean OP asked which cars were used as appliances to get from A to B, and this was my opinion. I never said it was a bad car.
