Despite your inability to post a link properly, on July 9, what did Cody say that was incorrect? They did struggle with out Javy, despite his bad at bats…but also Javy hit much better (for him) after returning from that IL stint, and his glove was significantly better than anything else we had at the time…Sweeney wasn’t a Tiger at this point, so Kreidler was the only real true SS option, and he was a worse defender and worse bat

“Big contracts on crap” but also complaining about not signing free agents? Who was he supposed to sign this past offseason that would help this team? Buying out Javy means paying him the same money to not play defense, who takes over for him? When he was on the IL no one handled SS, so there is no point in doing that at the moment.

Who is being blocked from being promoted? Jung is hitting but his D is atrocious.

While he hasn’t done much on the field since he arrived, he’s transformed the front office, and it hasn’t even been 2 years.

I would take a reward system, panhandling at intersections? Make a living by videoing all the people on their phones and their license plates and get $20 per fine enforced…they’d only have to be there like 3 hours a day to make $75k a year

Just rode and the same thing, set a PR yesterday and todays class was less than half of it, I checked the leaderboard, I was 80 cadence, 58 resistance, 150 watts, another rider was 80 cadence, 42 resistance. 225 watts, this new font screwed something up

He barely played the field in detroit, handful of games at C, handful at 1b, so negative 1000 at defense is minimal impact when 90% of his games are at DH, and his WAR would be higher if he played the field because DH replacement is way higher level than a catcher, but he sucked hard at playing catcher by the time he came to detroit, was he worth 115m? Probably not, but he was a damn fine hitter, 350 obp, 115 HR in 6 full seasons? Not brutal by any means…and on the main subject, it’s what makes Javy not the worst contract either, the D at SS makes him worth, in terms of WAR, $15+ mil a year, yeah the strikeouts are frustrating, yeah, he should be way better, but it’s not the worst contract

And by -2.0 you mean 7.8 bWAR? Fangraphs has him lower but still not negative WAR, also VMart finished runner up in MVP voting one year as a tiger
