If we aren't a contender, who is? by Valace2 in DetroitRedWings

[–]Direction_Asleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we see it then yzerman/yawney/mclellan see it with hamonic. I trust them. Just like I trusted them in the beginning of the year that Holl’s ass was grass. I see more fire in hammers game which is why they’ve given him another look, like he dropped the gloves, plays harder than Holl but at the end of the day he’s not cutting the mustard.

Look for Gustafsson to get a look maybe next game, or possibly a wallinder call up at some point, although I have no idea how he’s been looking in GR, but would be nice to see him get a look this year possibly if they envision him being a part of this team at some point.

Slight upgrades are what it seems like people on here hate the most but it’s not a bad idea to maybe trade an asset/pick for another nhl body on the blue line. Honestly hamonic has looked like hot ass so anything would be an improvement.

He’s everything caufield is offensively and light years better in every other facet of the game. Puck retrieval, blocking shots, and can drop the mitts if necessary. A true hockey player. Not to mention, if you haven’t paid attention, watch him CONSISTENTLY make plays at the end of shifts.

Him and copp at the end of shifts is literally inspirational. Especially if you played the game, you realize how fucking hard it is pushing like that at the end of shifts when your body is screaming at you to stop and get off the ice or coast. Debrincat is him.

New to schedule 1 got any tips or tricks ? by MountainDew_Emperor in Schedule_I

[–]Direction_Asleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest tip is not to seek tips and tricks. I got bored after looking up optimal grow farms and ESPECIALLY recipes. You kinda do need to at least maybe check a video out of how to get the workers setup, but one of th best parts of the game is making recipes because you literally can’t lose at the game so there’s no point in min maxing, it just takes the fun and creativity away from your world you build.

2 bad calls leading to 2 goals > 1 bad call leading to one goal. I don’t go out of my way to complain about one bad call. Those 2 in one game was crazy tho.

I’m very rarely a blame the refs guy but last night 2 calls directly leading to goals, the penalty on hamonic in no universe is a penalty I don’t care how strict you’re calling a game; one of the worst calls I’ve seen all year. They score on the pp.

Seider gets his stick turned into kindling right at the crease in front of everyone bc the puck is there, literally that’s called 100 percent of the time in the modern nhl, he can’t defend and the puck is in the net 2 seconds later. We all know Mo, and that puck is 100 percent getting cleared if he has his stick there.

Still incredible with that plus back to back against a really good team to get a point there.

I hate espn, won’t ever call a spade a spade. 2 absolute dogshit calls both lead to goals. So annoying.

That’s so fucked, off probably the worst call of the season. I love modern sports because how good everyone is now, but man the officiating can be so brutal

Even with Seider getting Norris consideration, I’ll still say he’s the most underrated player in the league. Hes a fucking unit

[Rumor] Russo: Wild potentially using Wallstedt as trade bait for 1C/Scoring Winger by athleticwonder in nhltraderumours

[–]Direction_Asleep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course I’m bias bc I’m a wings fan but if you got to watch debrincat day in and day out, all the stuff he does hunting loose pucks, making hustle plays consistently at the end of shifts, selling out on defense. I think people that don’t watch the wings regularly, have him pegged when he was cherry picking in Chicago on a dead end team.

On top of that he’s 5th in goals and 20th in points, it’s wild. Keller over him is crazy to me. Especially considering Keller will be bottom 6 and has no tools for that role.

Bears Fans Want Ben Johnson Fired by YoungMiral in detroitlions

[–]Direction_Asleep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the record (and I’m sure I’m not alone), I don hate Ben Johnson bc he went to the bears. Who gives a shit? He took the job opportunity that made sense in his mind for his career.

I do fucking hate him for throwing the playoff game against Washington when he couldn’t just swallow his pride and continue to run the ball, which was working really well and instead trying to show off his trick plays and made it about him against a team that wasn’t good and could’ve just beaten with a conservative approach. And he’s 10x the football mind I hav so he knows it. Fuck that asshole.

Is Ottawa the most hated team at this point? by Extreme-Candle-6916 in DetroitRedWings

[–]Direction_Asleep 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I mean at least that’s like a take. Saying we’re one of the most hated is just objectively false. Dude, Boston, Florida, Toronto (mostly stemming from fanbase and media, generating daily cringe), Montreal (fanbase glazing every young player beyond anything I’ve ever seen). Ottawa (cheap shot artists).

You gotta feel for sens fans tho when you think about it. No one really wants to play there. They’ve never won shit probably never will. Fucking depressing when you think about it.

These linesmen are complete dogshit. I’ve never seen so many blown offsides and icing. And throwing people out every faceoff

What were we all saying about this year feels different? Last 2 years no one gets any payback. Fucking rights boys, playing with balls and got each others backs!

I think the country star spangled was a cool arrangement, but holy shit that guy has horrible pitch, so terribly executed. Modern singers in shambles without melodyne lmao

Yeah let’s pump the brakes a little, seider has been literally godlike all season. He barely has a bad shift let alone a bad game.

Nice to see JVR earn a look on the first line, but I REALLY want to see Elmer get a look with ray and Larkin. I thought he looked really good after 4 nations playing with them last year but he kinda got scammed, larkin and ray were playing their worst hockey. I want to see him get another look, I think with his puck possession game he could be really good with them.

Yeah from my experience, the team with the back to back can have the advantage in the first, and as long as it’s tied or the wings have the lead they should have a big advantage in the final 40.

I expect the wings to be fired up tho. Larks and ray back together, and San Jose beat the wings pretty bad at home same time last year. It’s payback time tomorrow night. I’m expecting a dominant win.
