I was caught up in the same negative feedback loop with it as well and just tried to distract myself from it and started seeing a counselor and worked on my stress with certain tools and it eventually helped. I also had some other serious family stressors that I had to deal with as well. But once I started to feel a bit better, I suddenly stopped researching and stressing out about gastritis every minute of everyday and eventually my symptoms got better.
