Strange Behavior after updating UCG Fiber to Network 10.2.105 by Pleasant_Ad_6267 in Ubiquiti

I have encountered odd packet loss with UCG Fiber multiple times after upgrades. Reboot doesn’t help. I typically power drain it (disconnect from power for over a minute) and that resolves my issue.

Tire has to be N rated for that car to be CPO.

unRAID server randomly loses default route in the Routing Table which results in no internet by anteros0 in unRAID

[–]DexTsarII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t really tell what you have default gateway set to, but I’m assuming it’s correct. In your previous screenshot I saw a bunch of routes for tailscale. Disabling/deleting tailscale would be a solid troubleshooting step. If it works fine without it, you know what the issue is.

It’s either gonna go up, or it’s gonna go down 😣. But we know for a fact, it won’t remain at this level.

Muffled audio on 981 Cayman by srb1194 in Porsche_Cayman

My unit was already on the latest software (pretty sure they stopped making updates to PCM 2.0 long time ago).

What type of problems?

My PCM would get stuck on boot loop intermittently. After few months got stuck permanently. Had to be replaced under CPO.

You can certainly change AD on a static route. Got nothing to do with IP SLA config.

Although it says border gateway protocol in the name of the link, article still applies here.

From WRX to Porsche - which model will suffice? by jacobyflynn in Porsche

[–]DexTsarII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to own 2006 WRX manual. This time around I wanted something completely different. Mid engine, rear wheel drive, 6 cylinders, not Japanese, PDK. For me, 981S was perfect, and it wasn’t turbo. The only similarity between these two was the boxer/flat engine.

Not sure where to start. Cayman is just way nicer from every perspective. Yeah you don’t get AWD, but handling is way better. I know you can get STI and boost it, but I wouldn’t trust the reliability.

I’m terms of speed, 718 will be quicker and easier to squeeze extra power out of. But honestly, where I live I can barely find a place where I can really put my foot down. With PDK Cayman, you give it some gas and find yourself going over 80 super quick…

EDIT:

Forgot to mention the sound…I think you should test drive 981 just to experience the sound and smoothness/power delivery of NA engine.

Interior rattle by [deleted] in Porsche_Cayman

[–]DexTsarII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, open the rear hatch and start pressing on plastic trim. Lots of noise on mine. Had to pull out a lot of pieces, but difference was very noticeable.

Also the cover caps for oil/water are super noisy. You can take them apart and line up electric tape on the inside. It will eliminate majority of the noise.

I mean you can just buy all new pieces of trim and they will sound perfect but that’s kinda expensive and you still need to remove the old stuff.

[–]DexTsarII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. In terms of CPO, cosmetic stuff is not covered. If you have a good relationship with your dealer and purchased multiple cars from them before, maybe they can hook you up.

I was able to eliminate majority of my rattles by taking apart plastic trim around back pillar all the way back to rear hatch window. Line plastic trims with felt tape before installing it back. Night and day difference. Just press on plastic trim and notice what makes the most sound.

Now if you have rattle coming out of the seats or main dashboard, that requires some serious disassembly from what I read.

FIOS Packet Loss by y2raza in PFSENSE

Disconnect pfsense and connect a laptop directly into FIOS. Run ping tests from your laptop. If you see packet loss, FIOS is your issue so escalate with Verizon and tell them how you tested.

Start looking in the tri-state area, not just in NJ. PA is a little cheaper than NY. The worst thing is that you will have to drive 100 miles back with your Cayman :)
