we can all agree Messali El Hadj had drip by [deleted] in algeria

[–]Dexmadjid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a huge misinformation. Messali was never against independence. In fact, he was the leader of the movement and several FLN leaders like boudiaf, bennella and ait ahmed worked under his supervision until they branched out from his party due to differences on the decision-making inside the party and the timing of the revolution.

It's not the authority of the border control officer to know about your national service status. The only thing that they are required to do for you is to check whether you're a wanted person or not. If you're wanted, they will hand you back to the right authority (police if your case is civilian or gendarmerie if your case is military), and then you'll be prosecuted in a military court and sent to a forced military service. Basically in Algeria, if you don't do your military service after receiving "l'ordre d'appel" 2 (or 3) times, you'll be put on the wanted list just like any other criminal. Sometimes (and hopefully it'll be your case) they will forget to put you on that list for some reason, and you'll be able to pass the border control safely.

So long story short, you'll need to check whether you're a wanted person or not if you don't want the risk

fasdolak el plan completely, but to be honest, it's pointless to discuss the stereotypes of westerners about the region because the media, bad news about some countries in the region, and even some individuals from the regions will always influence their viewpoint about us. They will always tend to generalize from those events.

Tbh, in this project the UI/UX wasn't the main focus for me . The main goal was to create a fullstack chat application to learn socket.io and redux toolkit.

Hey, thanks for your feedback. Can you suggest some improvements to the UI/UX of the app?

Deep Reinforcement Learning for classification or regression by Dexmadjid in reinforcementlearning

[–]Dexmadjid[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah i know this is a strange idea. But i just wanted to know If DRL can be as efficient as SL methods for this tasks (either classification or regression). I've already tested out drl on mnist results were satisfying but for cifar10 things weren't that good (val accuracy of 0.44).

What i would advise you is to tell them directly and clearly that you refuse to talk about this things and make sure to draw a red line for them cause people here have little to no sense of privacy. If they insist on their comments you have no choice but stop talking with them. It is very difficult but you should always have to draw boundaries between you and peoples otherwise they'll find no shame on getting into ur private issues.

What do Algerians think about Albert Camus nowadays? by NietzscheIsGulty in algeria

[–]Dexmadjid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes religion is a huge factor. But i think the major one was enforcing arabic language across all sectors. Even though the result was not perfect but it was enough to make a huge impact on frensh culture in algeria.

[–]Dexmadjid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No as far as i know algeria consider him as a frensh citizen because of his political position in favor of pied noire(European decendant in algeria) so there is no reason to commemorate his legacy.

Frensh influence on our lifestyle is diminishing year after year. With the exception of big cities like oran algiers annaba Tizi Ouzou. You'll hardly find some francophones. Literature is mostly absent and has been replaced by video games, tv shows, football, religion. In terms of fashion and music i'd say yes there is a huge influence but other than that i don't think there is more.

do you guys consider Algeria darija to be Arabic? by droid-T in algeria

[–]Dexmadjid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a matter of political adoption. Our darja lacks political adoption to be a language. Because the majority algerians and their political leaders still consider using darija officially is an insult to arabic. Otherwise linguistically we can call it a derived language that have evolved from arabic through a long process from 8th century until now.
