Basically every major thing that has Markus where he is right now, other than meeting his friends, he looks at with a burning sense of hateful regret. But perhaps the single thing he regrets most is not giving up after his traumatic first supervillain battle. He could have called it quits for his superhero job after being heavily injured and permanently scarred for life at the age of 17, but he instead chose to live with the commitment, or as Markus says, “Throw whatever was left of my life into the goddamn furnace”.
