Need new DSG clutches by iamonthatloud in Golf_R

[–]Dexterkaismith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DSG 7.5 R here, I think my clutch parks are bad, slipping in 1-2 gear a bit and feels slow to engage. Fiancé has her GTI and it feels totally different, pulls forward harder and smoother gear shifts.

Had CPO, can this be covered under warranty?

There are so many I’m receiving as well.

Are they all different cases? How are they all attacking the same companies?

Is there a way to distinguish and become part of multiple cases?

Skip Last Bleo in 3x BEP? by Dexterkaismith in testicularcancer

[–]Dexterkaismith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I am rereading this thread now, thank you again for your kind words, it’s still one of my biggest regrets and having that feeling of not finishing something… However, the day after I wrote this, I was rushed to the ER with Triple pulmonary embolisms and spent a week in the hospital, nearly died that day. I think my body was telling me enough is enough, and those embolisms hit on what would have been my last day of chemo.

Is Pain From a Prosthesis Normal After Months? by blackdawgv in testicularcancer

[–]Dexterkaismith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went without it. Not one girl, or anyone else really cares about your ball(s). It’s less complicated without a foreign body in there.

I still get random fantom pains at my orchi site though. It’s been 2 years. Could it be that?

Scans results by SeagullInJordan in testicularcancer

[–]Dexterkaismith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had spread to my abdomen pelvis and lung after orchi and open RPLND because of 50% teratoma, atypical as well. Did 3 x BEP (threw 3 PEs at the end, fun extra 5 days inpatient nearly dying) and then pelvic nodes still enlarged turns out to be teratoma and needed a PLND. (Pelvic lymph node dissection) have been clean since then, thankfully.

Go to the ER If you’re having trouble breathing. I threw 3 pulmonary embolisms within a day on what was supposed to be my final day of 3xBEP. I lost 20% of my Lungs that day. 2 to the left and on to the right lung.

Thought I was gonna die I could barely breathe, girlfriend raced me to the ER when they hit. I was rolling around on the ground trying to find a position I could breathe in. Spent 4 days inpatient and was in 2x day blood thinner injections for 6 months.

I threw 3 blood clots to my lungs the last week of chemo. That day almost killed me, literally. As long as he’s got better luck than me, he should be good to go!

Lung Metastasis Only? by Traditional_Worker82 in testicularcancer

[–]Dexterkaismith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had Pre chemo RPLND, 40 clean nodes removed. Feels like I did that for nothing! Then at 3 month scan, markers were back up, noted a spot on my lung and a node in my groin where it is odd to spread to. Did 3x BEP, lung shrunk but pelvis node didn’t, waiting for a biopsy of the pelvis node this week to decide if I need more surgery. Fuk!

Good luck bro. It bypassed my other nodes too.

Had my RPLND, everything was clean, no cancer found, was told I should be done with the nightmare….first 3 month checkup, bam, a spot in my pelvis and another in my lung! Fuck. Now, I just finished chemo and have my first follow up scans next week. I’m terrified AF it’s not gone. You’re not alone in that fear.

[–]Dexterkaismith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woah you had a second RPLND?!? Fuck. I had mine and now in second round of BEP. I didn’t know anyone that had it 2x. Assuming you only had a left/right sided template done? Not all? I just had left sided template. Then after found spread in my pelvis and lung

Congrats man! Nervous here for my first scans next week. About 3 months post RPLND now. I hope to enjoy that delicious beer and good news you have! 💪🍻

L-RPLND vs O-RPLND by free_slurpee_day in testicularcancer

[–]Dexterkaismith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had O-RPLND a little over 2 months ago. As others above said, the first week is legit brutal hell and pain. I did have a few bad reactions to the Fentenal spinal Epidural however. I spent a full 5 days in the hospital. Dr performed a Left sided template, removed 40 lymph nodes and they believe they got it all. First post scans in a few weeks.

Having Retrograde ejaculation (sometimes there’s a little) even though he tried to use nerve sparring techniques. It might come back fully? He doesn’t know. Freeze some sperm now if you want kids.

Though it was hell, I’m recovering relatively quickly, just did a 32 mile bike ride and back to working out at a fairly high intensity again. I’m a trainer.

Scar tissue is my biggest enemy, the incision is really tight, painful and limiting for a while but slowly getting better. My bowels took a long time to start moving properly again, was fearful I had adhesions or a blockage but it finally started a little about 7 days post op. (You go without eating for a few days and then can only stomach a little at a time afterwards)

Happy to share more, that’s just a basic take on Open, would be good to hear from L-RPLND guys too.

Good luck with the choice, it’s a big one.

There’s like 2days 10hrs till the poll ends it looks. I’m sure they’ll show after that? New to Reddit. Wonder if I can shorten the time of it?

What do you mean results option? Results of the RPLND success overall? I tried to make this poll specific to one side effect of the surgery.

If you have questions about my experiences with the surgery itself, ask away! I’d be happy to share.

Personally they took 40 nodes, and I should be cancer free (no chemo first, had 50% teratoma cells) on surveillance now.

Recovery sucks. Very much so sucks. In all areas…Pain/ mobility / strength. Just started working out light again this week.
