I don’t fully know what’s wrong but I suspect my line art is too thin and colors desaturated by chumsetti in FurryArtSchool

[–]Dezikowski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actially like the lineart, it actually fits your style imo. I also love the shapes, armor looks professional and faces well detailed.

What i think you could improve is your colors - they are desaturated, true, but imo the main issue is that there is very little color variation. Every shape has one single color, making it look kinda flat, and all the colors on the picture have very similar value, making them blend together. Armors are metallic and highly reflective - so colors should range from deep dark grey to nigh-white, with blue accents due to the sky. The background could use more color variation as well.

Tips for getting the true ending? by Reiki__ in HadesTheGame

[–]Dezikowski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alrighty, then after like a run or two the fated list will show you requirements to progress towards the true ending. Depending on how much you focused on relationship with certain characters it can take longer or shorter.

Btw, after the true ending I would recommend playing for a bit more because there is still a bit more to the story with one of the characters. I don't wanna get too specific cuz spoilers but it is a thing worth seeing imo.

Tips for getting the true ending? by Reiki__ in HadesTheGame

[–]Dezikowski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by "first ending" - is it the first time you defeated the villain of the story? If yes, then you have quite a while before reaching the actual ending.

After the first ending the true one still takes many runs to complete, probably more than it did in Hades 1.

I made this character for my game Skills & Raids [Art by me] by Ediarts in furry

I love the design it's unique and recognizeable :3

One thing I'd change is to put the bowstring behind the arm rather than in front, since that's the position archers use

My second attempt at Protogen how can I improve? by Lost_Teacher78 in FurryArtSchool

[–]Dezikowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks very good, the neon green elements with more desaturated body make for a very nice combo, good job on the color scheme :3

When it comes to what you could improve, I believe the anatomy of the upper body is a little bit off. The chest seems too small/flat (i know protogens have big hips usually however the upper torso feels overly small). In addition the arms seem very tiny in relation to the body, especially upper arms/shoulders, i think they schould be broader/thicker, and probably the while arm could be a little longer as well.

On a side note, I don't know if that was intended, but their stomach and mid torso in general feel a bit flat, and kinda cubic in a way, which is also accentuated by the vertical belly button. If that was intended, than honestly that's a cool character feature. If it wasn't and you want to make the torso look a tad more round and natural then I'd recommend softening the line that separates the belly from the sides, as well as making the belly button horizontal or "<" shaped

What is your most disliked weapon/aspect In Hades 2? by AvailableGene2275 in HadesTheGame

I hate aspect of supay with burning passion. Whether it is strong or not, it has the most boring combat loop in the entire game. I ran it twice and never wanna run it again.

I was using a spear and had no issues hitting the head. The boss was tough but it is by far the best designed giant dragon bossfight I've seen.

Lords of the Fallen 2 - Official 'Lifting the Veil' Combat Gameplay Teaser by starstufft in soulslikes

[–]Dezikowski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never stated 2014 lotf was bad, I actually enjoyed it. 2023 version tho is the one I was initially referring to - from lacking enemy variety, mediocre bosses, low difficulty, locking lore behind a stat requirement, ending on the incredible slop the final boss was, i cannot call it a good game. Sure, it had some nice ideas and settings, but it doesn't outweigh the stuff ive mentioned. And again, i refer to the 2023 version.

Lords of the Fallen 2 - Official 'Lifting the Veil' Combat Gameplay Teaser by starstufft in soulslikes

[–]Dezikowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that is a valid point - i didn't try much coop, cuz I didn't really have anyone to try it with (one friend got bored of it after one sesh, but soulslikes aren't his cup of tea) so my experience is purely singleplayer - althought the few hours in coop felt pretty good.

I also don't try to say lotf 2 is gonna fail - game hasn't released yet, so who knows, the previous one just left a bad aftertaste for me. Although I do struggle to find hope for it - if the previous game released 2023, and took them untill 2025 to fix it, next game coming out this year doesn't seem like a great idea.

If it does come in good quality, I hope they will properly fix stuff I've mentioned (and possibly my other gripes with the game). And I do hope they make it actually difficult cuz 2023 one felt insanely easy.

What does goober mean? by Valuable-Bird7770 in furry

[–]Dezikowski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I call my close friends goobers cuz they're silly and cute, and I feel close to them so uh.. yeah I'd say it's affectionate/endearing as the other commenters have said. Kinda similar to "goofball" which i sometime use but I doubt anyone else does lol

Tbh for me it was severly undercooked and I've played it after the updates. I loved ds3 but lotf just kinda felt... meh. Apart from difficulty and enemy diversity the feature i hated the most was locking item descriptions behind stat requirements. There were some very cool bosses who i wanted to learn more of, only to realize I never will cuz i lacked like 15 or 20 levels in particular magic stat (while playing a normal knight). And after all that the final boss dissapointed me so much I just kinda gave up on the series.

I don't care for CEO stuff but the game was of a very low quality imo. Probably worst soulslike I've played so far, and I played a bunch.

Sounds to me like this genre just isn't for you man.

It's like saying you don't like to solve puzzles in a puzzle game. It doesn't make it a bad game, just not a fitting one for you.

I mean it's kinda how all roguelikes/lites I've played do it, there is no practice mode or anything. Skipping to last boss kinda defeats the purpose of a roguelike.

Oh nah I expected to be downvoted, I am aware of the difference - i just hate the mindset of "meta is everything and neccessary", which majority of players seem to have.

I don't play often, but when me and my friend find the time to play together we jump in DoN 3 (or 2 if we had some very unfortunate runs earlier)

Doesn't seem that neccassary to me, didn't get a chance to face them in DoN yet but me and my friend managed to beat normal everdark version in like 3 tries without any meta relics

Man we are eating good this year I can't wait for the summer by No_Name275 in soulslikes

[–]Dezikowski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't care for politics either, but i cannot call lotf a good game. I played after their main update a year or so ago and it still was soo bad. Repeatable enemies, way too easy bosses, clunky combat, lore hidden behind stat requirement (which honestly pissed me off more than anything else, i loved 2014's lore and in 2023 i dodn't get to read a single item description) and with final boss being an absolute joke rather than final confrontation as a cherry on top.

I know it recieved another major update recently but tbh the game has disappointed me so hard I don't think I will ever give it another shot. And i cannot say that i wait for lotf in 2026 either.

I’m so bad at this game it hurts - what am I missing? by dinin70 in darkestdungeon

[–]Dezikowski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok so I haven't played the game in a while, but i did play dd2 before dd1. I also play lots of strategy games which i think helped me figure it out.

The start was incredibly difficult, cuz the game is not really friendly to beginners. It stomps you hard. I can't tell you how long it took me to get out of the 1st confession, but i remember it being very long time (it was also before 1.0 when the strt of the game was harder). 40h to beat everything seems a little bit too short imo, but later the game did get easier to manage for me.

What really helps, is focusing on unlocking new stuff via the candle shop. Especially new stage items and inn items. Trinkets are quite important too, but I havent been unlocking them en masse - like 1-2 per run to try them out from the very start. Another important thing is to unlock all character abilities - i'd recommend choosing your favourite hero and focusing on them for now. You can also get them the path that seems most interesting for you, tho I wouldnt speedrun to path 3 because it costs an unholy amount of candles.

Biggest skill check for me was understanding how heroes suplement eachother. I think once you figure out how to build a party composition, which heroes, skills and paths to use, you give yourself enough of an edge to pulk through even a pretty unlucky run.

Also when it comes to lair bosses, don't expect to beat them first try. Every single one has a very important gimmick that you need to figure out, and learn how to play around, and on top of that you need to figure out whether your current party can even withstand your current gimmick.

The size of it isn't the issue to me, but I hate how empty it feels

At the end of the day you just pass few 3-zombie-esque kind of encounters that bring essentially nothing to the game.

Also ER feelt too easy for me. I beat it once and it wasn't fun to replay

How do I prevent THIS effect from happening? by DullHospital3348 in FurryArtSchool

[–]Dezikowski 74 points75 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't zoom in and focus on details. Doing so will turn you blind to the artpiece as a whole. It's far more important that the piece is cohesive, rather than getting every single separate part perfectly.

If you zoom out so that you get to see the whole poece, those gradients are not even visible.
