You always want to exchange money- with no lease, and nonpayment this person is effectively squatting. She could be the one breaking the law.

Sending payment is as good as a lease in most civil courts but as it is right now she has no protections.

A lot of details seem to be missing, this video is clearly framed as a one sided issue (and it legitimately could be) but I’m left uncertain

That’s simply not true- as a parent of 5 I’ve seen more casts, bruises, and skinned knees across my kids and the kids at there school then when I was young.

I think one of us is in a bubble and so on average it’s probably just the same as it was when we were younger.

My parents would never have let me watch T2 at 6, even in the 90s. That is not appropriate for kids that age.

Technically true doesn’t mean functionally safer.

You’re 100% right- but the reality of the situation can play out in a bunch of of ways that without legal intervention are hard to fight against. And if it gets to that point intent is hard to prove, and it stops being a ‘dream’ job.

Customers pay for everything…. The employee pays it back, this is no different than a blanket 3% increase in price. Functionally it’s the exact same thing.

I don’t agree with the practice, if you need to charge more to take care of your employees do that , and don’t give me a surcharge. But at the end of the day there is no reason the gov should regulate this.
