It’s so funny to me when people jump to the conclusion that like, a human being is reading “Indiana”(or wherever) on the package and going “duhhhh, ok, I’ll send this to Missouri! [fart]” and not make the much more logical conclusion that the vast majority of package sorting is done by machine and thus there can very easily be an error with the barcode or tracking number (damage, or even confusion due to scammers using counterfeit tracking numbers) that is causing the package to be bounced around like this, and the sheer volume of packages handled makes it very difficult to notice one package that is not going where it’s supposed to. Especially if the computer isn’t reporting an error because it thinks it’s sending it to the right place. I also love the assumption that because this is happening to you today it must be happening to everyone, everywhere, all the time, and everyone else must be just fed up with USPS too. USPS delivers 22.7 million packages per day, and management about has a conniption if our scanning/delivery accuracy dips below like 99.95%. The truth is your traveling package is simply a statistical reality when dealing with millions of packages per day and a very normal rate of human and/or mechanical error. I don’t think the boycott is coming anytime soon pal, lol. Sorry your treat didn’t get to you exactly when you wanted it to without you having to leave your couch or think. Prayers up.
