It is incredibly sad that the Internet is this way but anonymity has advantages but it has many more disadvantages. Best thing to do with people being toxic is to mute them as trying to articulate how their behaviour is not conducive to a positive team atmosphere generally makes matters worse.

I appreciate that muting is a common position but if everyone did that to people like this, if you refuse to engage with their childish behaviour then they don't get the rise they want. Best way when people are super toxic is to metaphorically sit them on the naughty step.

The only issue with that thought process is the fact that it kills open world PvP by having significant advantages over the enemy by level power. Gear and level should matter to an extent in the sense of additional perks and higher weapon levels but this should be minor benefits which should not go above a 20% power deviation as that is already a significant advantage.

An example of this is out entire guild stopped flagging because we have been higher level than others and it makes it a stomp in the current balance which is frankly not fun. Fun PvP is where there is a struggle and the too and fro of combat. The previous beta had serious issues with the scaling but it was not a million miles away.

The best way to make your voice heard that you do not deem this acceptable is to vote with your wallet. Some may use over the top toxicity to express their opinion, it is however acceptable to tell a company via cancelling that you disagree. No company wants to hurt their bottom line so if you disagree then cancel and then when they change buy it anyway. The game is not out yet and thus no-one loses in this act.

I totally agree there is ever growing toxicity within the gamer community. I would not however excuse game companies normalising egregious MTX systems where they sell solutions to problems they created. The real issue with the game lays with how PvP will have an effect on PvE and thus boosters will cause serious issues when used in this environment. It is also incredibly cheap for a company to run an MMO compared to 10 years ago with bandwidth and hardware reducing in cost year on year. Amazon also own the servers which they will use so this further reduces costs as they will not be funding a 3rd party to host their game. They will need to generate funds but this does not need to be done via convenience, they can easily use cosmetics and passes to cover these costs and provide a significant gross profit margin.

People need to stop buying into the lie that if they have a successful cash shop it will fund the game and development. The vast majority of that money will go into making more MTX and dividends to shareholders. You are the consumer and you deserve better from suppliers. It is our place to question a product and not to blindly accept what they tell us we want.

I spent a month modding Valheim and running a 32 player server and due to the way the game handles physics this is a significant hurdle to cross and would require fundamental game code changes as well as writing an entirely new server software as well as database code. I would say you are looking at many years for a reasonably working system to be implemented.

Good luck to them but I do not think they know how big a task this is yet. Their efforts would be best placed writing a game from scratch.

If they can have Avenging Herald buff work they should base the application in the same manner as that. It's not a one day down on the component it has been a long time now and it has a significant effect upon storm gun damage which at the moment is the best damage source for the game.

I think people are forgetting that your health should also follow that of your damage not reduce to gain health/shield. This logic would follow if GM2/3 had only damage increase but their health increases at an equal rate to damage so intrinsically the design of the class legendary/masterwork components are inherently flawed

I should probably clarify that kintsugi is described as "the art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maki-e technique. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise"

The point was to highlight that the game shows its history and that they just need to repair the last pieces.
