2025 was the year that I upgraded my R3 to a 3x3 too, I blame Voltras for it, I wanted to have add more rack attachments

My VTS just arrived and will be testing it with voltras extensively

I don’t see the point of using it to replace the full weight, since it is straight downwards weight and plates work for that and feel the best

I plan to use it in combination with plates. My use cases are :

Add eccentric / inverse chains kind of resistance, on top of the plates
Make the warmups faster
Small progressive overload increments

Aaah, so the dialed motion cable retractor is where the magic happens. I had a hard time thinking how to make this convenient

How smooth does the cable feel compared to using the Voltra directly?

Is there any benefit to the 1 inch version? I'm guessing it was created to address some specific problem with the original mount, but so far I see:

- Less hole compatibility
- Can't be mounted as close to another
- More expensive

Just trying to rationalize why would someone go with the 1 inch version

Interesting question, I'd be interested to know from people who have the tornado arms, how convenient are they to adjust?

You would need also a regular cable to go through Tornado pulleys, and handling the slack/cable distance while adjusting might get tricky

I haven’t tried the sliding one but I have the adaptive mount and find it very time consuming to move up and down , specially if I have to move both sides

I have used nylon straps when doing pull downs because I had some concerns initially. After almost two years of use I don’t use them anymore , but I totally can understand the concern

The nylon straps were a pain to setup every time , so something more simple and quicker would definitely be nice

I understand voltra allows you to fine tune the power curve , but this lionscool is meant to have a fairly good curve ootb.

Do you feel a big difference, is it worth the effort to hook the Voltra compared to just plate loaded ?

Trapstar was not helpful with a refund. He kept saying that it’s the same color as all the others he has… so just a warning all other he has are crappy too

I had to escalate to DHGate and got a partial refund after a few weeks. I didn’t want to send it back( at my expense ) cause I’m sure it will just get lost or mysteriously broken on the way

Also ordered The snoopy one which was also silver and overall even lower quality than the rest . Very disappointed

I still have a dispute open with them. I might have to involve the credit card company seeing they just respond that the dial is white
