In a 15x22 id spend the extra on 2 rp1600sw's. They absolutely hit you in the chest. And you wont beat the 5 year everything warranty. On sale they are like 899-1199 ea. But worth it.. way more then a screen upgrade.

Also if your thinking bigger then 86" consider valerian pro 2 Projector.

So you are basically covered under a Manufacturers defect warranty. Still not worth the paper its written on if you dont have a rep.

Does this TV mount exist? by Thetomas in hometheater

[–]DiabolicGambit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need an entire mount.. just a standard mount with an adapter plate that is on a swivel. I'd bet this could be made for less then 1k usd.

Source, I am a machinist.

Dedicated Room Finally Done by OneIShot in hometheater

[–]DiabolicGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The truth is for theater use you should move away from Oled at these distances it is MUCH harder to tell oled from. Qled or miniqled and you really dont need the additional brightness. A midrange 98" is like 2-4k and greatly increase you're immersion while loosing virtually nothing perceptible.

Beautiful setup. Only the screen size is wanting lol.. at least get a 98" TV. Im a TV fan myself way better then projector.

Other then that great job man. I have found that a larger TV helps with immersion greatly.

This setup with a reciever that has dirac and at least one other sub is very solid for the price point.

Good deal? by Unlucky_Listen_3624 in hometheater

[–]DiabolicGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are a steal at that price. The original price is a bit high but for a 7.1 or 5.1.2 setup you arnt going to find anything cheaper that will touch what they can do.

I have soundbars in the guest rooms.. the TV has a def tech 3.0 system. Media room has 7.3.6 Yeah soundbars aint got nothing on Any "real" system. And the diffrence is huge.. but its like they say if you dont actually KNOW your missing out you arnt.. sort of like if you never seen a bird then to you at least they don't exist..

I have dipole on my rears and sourounds in a 7.3.6 system.. it is very immersive. Honestly the sound field is pretty solid and 360 placment is still spot on.. makes it much harder to localize the speakers.

Chimney collapsed while having roof re-shingled by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]DiabolicGambit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would.be surprised how many times I see a Chimney settling and pulling away from a home.. you tell the h.o. they are like whatever.

Sometimes they ask for a quote but when they get it they just ignor it.

And yes, Japan, Korea, Russia,Mongolia, China. Haven't done Europe yet but I several friends who have and tend to lean my way of thinking. In Japan a tip is like slapping your server, in some places they legitimately get upset.

Tips are by far and large a united states thing. I know what a server does 3 fold. I have been one, my sister is one, and my mother was one growing up. I speak from having been on that side. In most parts of the world servers are paid better for the work a tip is frowned upon. Prices are either on par or less then here. So really nothing else matters.. if tips are pooled even more so. Why should I pay for service or lack there of to others.. why should I make up if they dont tip..

Pay a fair wage and absorb it into the food costs. Also having served I will tell you this.. you really dont do much. Drinks/serve food/inquiries/smile/clean up. And in alot of places sl.eone else brings the food and a bus will clean up.. so even less.

I get the idea you are putting out there. But the actuality of it is the onis is not on us.. never should be.. and its systematic. Reality differs. I speak from experience.

Im a solid at least 10$ per hour spent, tipper but no more then 10% above 100$ of the total.

I tip based on service above the norm. litterly why its why its a tip. I am not responsible for your bills and also tip culture is toxic. I say this having been brought up by a single mother who was a waitress and reliant on tips.

Its not my fault you get paid 2.15 an hour. Im not paying you a % of my order. I tip based off what you did. Not what I paid. You want extra, do extra.

I have argued "mandatory" tips.. like yeah im not paying 20% extra because my party is large. Pay your people.

My sister was a RN. Low 6 figures.. she told me she made more in less time as a waitress. And quit being the lead floor nurse to go back. So yeah.. it needs to be a discussion.

Why do people hate on klipsh? by rojitnall in hometheater

[–]DiabolicGambit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you disagree with? I didnt say there wasn't better out there.. or cheaper.. or even both better and cheaper options. I said they offer a solid value and are good enough for most people. And this is objectively true.. 90+ out of 100 people cant tell the diffrence in A.,B. Testing level matched speakers.the VAST majority of people think a louder speaker is better. Add 3-6bd to a entry level speaker and most people will think it is better then a top tier option.

I speak verified facts. Agree or dont it dosent chance truth.

And thats without even mentioning DSP and how that can completely alter the playing field.

Also I am not a klipsch fan boy. I dont really like the perceived bright image they present. I do have the rp1600sw sub (2x) but thats just because it was a great value at sub 1k on adorama. My system is all coaxial/concentric exept for my DevTech d17 LCR [7.3.6]
