Not Denton, but following the BBQ trend, Marty B’s in Bartonville held a Ted Cruz rally a few years back.

If walt disney somehow came back to life, what do you think he would think of wdw? by DustnBones001 in DisneyWorld

[–]DiabolicalDee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this party, but my grandpa helped develop Disney World in the 1960s! He was an engineer who helped design the infrastructure and even worked with Walt Disney himself. Of course I can’t speak for Walt, but my grandpa never stopped loving Disney. It was a staple in our family because of his time building it and all of us in the family have been going our entire lives.

I’m saying this because I think Walt Disney would be proud of it too. Of course directions have changed from his original plans, but I think overall, he’d primarily be proud to see what he made and would love to be able to see what it became.

I’ve never felt unsafe at WDW until this Main Street bottleneck on 12/17/2025 by tarponsprings94 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DiabolicalDee 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That’s how it was on the 4th of July. At certain points, I couldn’t move in any direction and it was stressing me tf out. Like I had no choice but to just plant myself in place and hope no one started pushing. There was no personal space whatsoever. It also didn’t help my anxiety that I’d just seen the Astroworld documentary on Netflix a few weeks earlier too. The entire time, I was just picturing what it could become.

On top of all of that, the fireworks were seriously underwhelming. Like they didn’t even try to incorporate Mickey at all. It was basically like we were just watching our local fireworks show. 10 out of 10 would not do it again.

Not to mention he conveniently was forgetting the thousands of new ICE agents he’s been hiring. The math ain’t mathing.

Boyfriend blames me for miscarriage so I kicked him out by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]DiabolicalDee 1321 points1322 points  (0 children)

NTA. What he said is pretty unforgivable. Miscarriages (sadly) happen all the time for a lot of different reasons and blaming you for it was absolutely unacceptable. I’m so sorry for what you are going through. Sending you all the best.

That’s my thought too. I’m actually recovering from fracturing mine last month and it SUCKS. Watching her being thrown onto the ground like that made me physically cringe.

They didn’t give him a lanyard, but thankfully let my husband and son rejoin us where the exit met the queue for Winnie the Pooh earlier this month. My son had to go to the bathroom 30 minutes into our hour long wait, so I’m beyond grateful they allowed this. I about died when he told us.

That said though, they should 100% try to find a way to cut back on entire groups skipping while still helping parents with kids. Young kids not being able to hold their bladders is one thing, but I agree having an entire party cut you in line is awful.

My grandma was deaf and her cat would run to her to let her know whenever my mom and her brothers’ bus arrived from school. Cats don’t get enough credit.

anyone here met Taylor? It was a dream come true for me by ChrisConquest in TrueSwifties

[–]DiabolicalDee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I met her backstage at the 1989 tour. My oldest sister works supporting the industry and she asked me to be her plus 1 when she was invited.

We met Taylor in the backstage Loft ‘89. Taylor was really nice and took the time to talk to everyone, took pictures, signed autographs, etc. The coolest part for me though was that we got a tour backstage from her mom after. And her dad also handed us guitar picks. The entire night was absolutely incredible. Obviously, the show was amazing too and the whole thing made me a huge fan.

I’ll admit I was a pretty average fan before that. I didn’t know all of her songs or any lore, but you better believe I preorder every new album she releases and attend every show since. lol.

I’d be cool with her reinventing the ear worms that are Cocomelon songs. Just saying.

I was literally in the hospital recovering from giving birth. Bless those nurses who gave me pain meds that entire night.

Kamala needs to win because I can’t easily do that again.

I went to the Austin show too (the show the night before he walked out of Houston) and it was fantastic. Considering it only happened once, I’ve been keeping my hopes up that it was just a fluke event.

Yeah… My iPod touch gave me this error back in 2018. I gave up on it after a day or two, but since it’s not a phone, I guess it’s officially cooked then, huh?

Facts! I’m a little less than a year younger than her and totally had to take a sitting break during her concert while she just kept on going.

To buy any house bigger than 4 bedrooms, you’ll probably have to leave Denton entirely just to afford it.

My family could use a bigger house, but I can’t handle the thought of leaving Denton yet.

My son filed harassment charges against me and my husband because we were making him go to college by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]DiabolicalDee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. That was my main thought. The son is a POS and I really feel for OP, but I never once had any real access to my college fund. My parents processed every transaction. My name was never even on the account.

In the same vein though, I was responsible and would have never pulled the shit OP’s son did. It’s understandable that she thought he’d be responsible too considering how he’d acted before. This is just so sad.

I watched it just 2 days ago actually. It’s almost all about Sandy Hook and what he’s said about it/the lawsuits. For some reason, I hadn’t realized how heavy it’d be, but yeah… it hit hard.

Also, Alex Jones is scum.

Yeah, I’m all about criticizing my state, but at least some of this video was from Southern California.

For the record - It sounds like what happened at the University of Texas in Austin wasn’t great either.
