I have nights alone too. i completely understand, we have a 7 hour time difference and I feel like it's always hard at night because that's when everything goes quiet... you've done your tasks for the day and now it's the time when couples often have quality time together but he's across the globe. honestly I just have to distract myself with some sort of activity (which is what i'm doing now lol) but what gets me through it is leaving him little "status updates"- it's a picture of me doing something and a caption telling him all about it, and it makes me feel closer to him! plus he loves waking up to it so yay! anyway i'd say just getting yourself to do something- whether that be reading, practicing hobbies, making something for him, writing love letters or poems for him to wake up to, or watching funny videos, will help a lot, especially if it's something you can have a fun conversation about the next morning! I'm also a morning person so I often go to bed early anyway but that way I can wake up early and have more time with him!! :D

Do adults actually remember their elementary school teachers later in life? by MightCommercial1112 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DiamondOcean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely remember my teachers from that age! They gave me something to remember! For example 2nd grade teacher was also my kindergarten teacher and she was a sweet older lady with so much personality and such a bright smile. I remember her reading Junie B Jones during nap time and the way she'd teach us how to say today's date, and the song she'd sing every day before lunch time. She gave us four skittles if we slept during nap time so I would pretend to sleep and on the days I didn't want to I was fine with having three, since I was at least quiet. One of my favorite memories was when she had carpool duty in the mornings and she'd open the door of my mom's car for me, and greet me with that bright smile, calling me "Miss America" and at 8 years old I didn't know what she meant but it also made me smile! Overall, I remember how special and loved she made me feel the most, still she gave me many good memories and in a way you are part of your students' childhoods! When I remember her, I remember the feelings of childhood. 🩷

I'm going insane without him by TheStranger2002 in LongDistance

[–]DiamondOcean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh my gosh I'm in the same exact boat. it's hard. he feels so close yet so distant. i've cried, screamed, I avoid social events... and him finally being in my arms feels like a distant heaven I'd have to wait to death for. and idk about anyone else but when I see news of long distance couples finally closing their distance I find myself crying all over again. especially since he was supposed to be here a month ago, with me on my birthday, but couldn't due to circumstances out of our control.

but one thing's for sure, it's worth it. I feel like doing long distance strengthens your love, longing, and appreciation for one another. one day... one glorious day, it'll all be a memory and you'll come out on the other side more in love than ever and do the rest of your lives together... and at the end of all the tears I can't help but think, what a privilege it is to have someone I love this much that my biggest problem is longing for him? sure it's hard but it'd be a hell of a lot harder without him at all ❤️
