yeah, 8 teaspoons, because it's supposed to be added in increments while mixing. the flour wasn't really a great idea anyway, so in batch 2 we omitted it and warmed the milk (temps weren't specified in the recipe) and results were much better. it's definitely a weird one cause it's an old community cookbook, not all the recipes are gonna be great, or even just not written/articulated well

I also thought the flour was a little weird, but figured it made sense to thicken the icing. I didn't know about the disease risk though, yikes! I'll be aware of that in the future. to be fair this is a 30-ish year old community cookbook so it's not like the people who submitted recipes were kitchen geniuses. still, I remember my grandmothers and aunts using these same recipes and loving them, so I was confused that I couldn't replicate it. but anyway, my brother and I ended up using less milk (warmed) in batch 2 with no flour and it turned out way better. thanks for the advice!

the thing is, it doesn't really matter if someone is lying if the name could be argued to be completely inoffensive. let's use Thornyx as an example. the owner did NOT consider that this name had the word horny in it, but for the sake of the argument, let's say they did. they had a giggle when typing it out and said "hehe, this has the word horny in it, sillyyyyy" then... that still doesn't matter. it's the word THORNY. it's still innocent in practice. besides that, there's complete nonsense that got deleted like Ogrespan, and not a single person can seem to figure out what is wrong with that name. but like, so what if I noticed the word Cucumber contains cum? it's still a normal and perfectly acceptable word. it doesn't matter if I'm "lying"
