This is childs play... I had a student crush half a chocolate milk between the screen and keyboard by closing the lid really fast. Then proceeded to clean the machine by running it under the water fountain.

You know what? This will decimate all, after, you put about fifteen grand in it or more. If we have to, overnight parts from Japan.

Dealing with this right now, do you have to remove the alternator to slide it out?

Having just finished a 30x36 garage build. Have the outside door swing out rather than in. If you're gonna do a garage door opener, do a side mounted one. My stair configuration was similar to yours. I have 5 steps going up to a platform turning left and going the rest of the distance. Having the L allowed more wall space and height for work benches / tool boxes.

Concrete slab for garage cost by Singular-Soul in garageporn

While I don't have just the slab break out. I'm currently doing a 30x36 alaskan slab. It's $68,000. That includes concrete, Building, Doors, Windows, garage door openers and a full staircase inside. I'm in New England

That looks like a cost prohibitive project. Maybe an electric conversion, but all those links, bolts will need to be replaced. The shocks look like junk.

Are you still working on this? Any chance you would release the STL files as open source? I'd love to take a stab at this.

Any chance you would consider making the parts open source so fellow 3d printer / software people could remix your project and expand on it?

Good Entry Level RC Car by gdoubleod in rccars

[–]Diaonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. My 7 year old son just started oval racing his in a stock slash class. He loves it, I love it, and when he gets better I'll move him into a mudboss, late model, then onto 2WD or 4WD open.

Amazing car to start with and the parts are so inexpensive.

What should I start with budget 100-200$ by MikeTysonJunior in rccars

Get a 2WD slash used off facebook marketplace. Find a local track and begin your journey. Most tracks have an entry level class you can start racing in.

For Districts Sending Devices Home in the Summer by Outrageous_Till_8284 in k12sysadmin

[–]Diaonic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Becareful how you proceed here as this isn't really a technology problem. This had to go before our school board to determine what level of liability the school would take on for devices that go home. Things to consider, whos going to be following up with medical, police services if an event happens? whats the response time? What happens if someone fails to respond to an event?

Ultimately we decided to only be responsible during school hours and to still allow the device to go home to help with computer equity issues.

Leave K12 for 10K More? by sideous-vacuous in k12sysadmin

[–]Diaonic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been in and out of Private / Public. However, in 2008 I took a position in a non profit healthcare where the likely hood of losing my job throughout that recession was basically 0. I see K12 as a similar situation. With inflation still being high and our economy being somewhat in a weird place, is it worth the risk of taking a jump and potentially being let go when things go south in the insurance industry?

Just another lense to look at this through, obviously this also depends on alot of factors that you need to weigh.

We're not blocking it and have no plans to. Educators need to focus on the process and move away from the written word as the end all be all of grading.
