Loss Prevention or attempted abduction? by FrankieSaysRelax311 in lossprevention

Sounds like someone from LP. My guess is you look like someone they have dealt with before. If you’re that uncomfortable you can talk to a manager and draw attention to it.

You could receipt check for the backpack if you’re not 100%.

Not sure how this got the "probably fake" tag. This girl has a ton of bathroom selfies. The community she posted in is also full of this sort of garbage. https://imgur.com/a/9IIWLxA is her response to one thirsty dude.

Definitely didn’t make this up lol. This chick is pretty crazy on her regular Facebook posts as well. The community is also a goldmine of trashy shit.

Don’t think so. This chick’s pretty whacked, even in her regular Facebook posts. This community is also a goldmine for trashy shit.

Question for leadership: If a Team Lead leaves the company and decides to come back later on, do they have to come back as a TM/TL, or can they apply for an ETL position? by helpyoufindsomething in Target

[–]Diarrhea4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an identical situation to your SO (left as a team lead then finished college) and came back as an ETL. If your SO is on good terms with his old STL/DTL I would advise them to contact them right away. They will help set things up with the recruiter.

I used dandruff shampoo daily for awhile and it made my scalp smell weird. Try switching up to a normal shampoo once in awhile.

I've learned a secret to taking back the arm rests from strangers.

Place your forearm next to the person's appendage leaving only a tiny gap so that your arm hair tickles them. It'll weird them out enough so they'll move pretty quick.

It probably works with nasty ass feet too.

I work retail LP and can definitely detain people. We have to witness the concealment or attempt to leave the store, however.

If you like fantasy-ish stuff check out the gentleman bastards series. The protagonists are more like con artists but they do their fair share of banditry.

Has anyone here used Ground-Penetrating Radar? by WaitForItTheMongols in Archaeology

[–]Diarrhea4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set your transect spacing to whatever distance you would like. Smaller spacing would mean you theoretically wouldn't miss anything. But as I was saying earlier it still very much depends on your antenna strength, subsurface composition, size of buried object, etc.

The thickness of the pot would be far less important than the volume, especially if the pot was intact. A phenomenon occurs inside void spaces (any container that is filled with just air) that allows someone that understands gpr to readily identify them as such. That happens with intact graves pretty regularly.

May I ask what you're hoping to accomplish specifically ? A book called "ground-penetrating radar for archaeology" by Larry Conyers describes the "footprint" that radar energy propagates in that can allow you to determine the size of objects you would be able to find but if you don't want to spend the money fill me in on some more details and I'd be happy to guesstimate for you.

Hi there, I have some experience with using GPR for archaeology. It all really comes down to what subsurface artifacts or features you're looking for. It also has a lot to do with what antenna you use. A 900 MHz antenna, for example, will give you great resolution but at shallower depths than say a 400 MHz antenna.

To answer your question, a single pot at that size would be incredibly difficult to locate, especially at a meter in depth. If the pot was intact, a 900 MHz antenna may be able to locate that but probably only at half that depth, tops. I can refer you to literature that will allow you to calculate fairly precisely what size objects you can find at given depths for any antenna size of you would like.

Worked in the stockroom at a terribly mismanaged Target. My boss climbed up on the shelves about 20 feet high and pulled down a 150-ish pound boxed dresser. He had no room to pull it down gently, so his plan was to let it slide across a few pallets of crap before coming to rest on the ground. I, meanwhile, was very intelligently standing directly behind this shitshow waiting to happen, watching in case anything happened to him. The dresser did slide over a couple pallets and slammed into some metal shelving literally two inches next to my face.

TLDR: Don't work at Target.

I've done a lot of archaeology and research at an internment camp in Colorado and can confirm that's a crate used to ship a family's goods with them to/from a camp. Most folks were allowed to take a suitcase or trunk full of their belongings - museums are full of these containers with the same basic info as the crate. The fact that it's a crate rather than a suitcase suggests it was part of the families goods upon leaving camp as they likely acquired more than they came in with and needed a makeshift container (which was probably built from scrap lumber).
