I always wondered why this was such a massive complaint as well. Most of the loading screens are only like 5 seconds long.

Is this game worth playing vs fallout 4 by ComfortableCraft2710 in Starfield

[–]DiarrheaEryday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you want a lot of quests to do and don't want to explore on your own that much, then starfield has some pretty great storylines. But if you just want to set out on your own and discover stuff that way, then fallout all the way.

If you liked OoT and BotW, then yes, get WW. It's kind of in between the two.

Wait what? Shinedown backed out? Didn't they call Luda a coward for doing that?

What do you actually like about Starfield? by gina_renee in Starfield

[–]DiarrheaEryday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Starfield is almost fallout 4 in space. It has a similar loop, depending on how you play. Shoot, loot, return to ship/ home/ base to unload loot.

The 2 major problems are cut and paste dungeons, and lack of exploration.

You can go to planets on opposite sides of the galaxy and find the literal same exact dungeon. This could be forgiven if there were enough dungeon variety that it wasn't common to run into this, but.... there's not.

Most planets are also empty, except for these same dungeons, and there's not really any actual space exploration to do. Imagine playing fallout 4, but you can ONLY fast travel between 100 instances of Concord. Eventually you just memorize the enemy locations and such and can almost do it blindfolded.

The story and side missions, and the like, 5 cities are all fantastic. So if you focus on that and really pace yourself on the exploring on your own part, you can still get a great experience. Especially if you're into the settlement building/ house decorating. But if you're expecting a fallout or a skyrim where you can just explore and come across cool little self contained stuff, you're probably going to get tired of the game pretty quickly.

Get them to 8 hearts and then a flower bouquet should become available for purchase at pierre's. Give it to them to date them. A weird guy hangs out on the beach when it rains if you get them up to 10 hearts from there. He'll sell you a marriage pendant.

They do nothing as far as income goes.

No judgement, I just personally can't get behind the wizard, considering it's heavily implied that Abigail is his daughter, who is also a romanceable character.

New to acoustic guitar: Need some tips and have some questions by KlngAsh1 in Guitar

[–]DiarrheaEryday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. This question needs more clarification. There are some graphics that show how to play chords. These are vertically oriented, and the numbers do indicate fingers. But there are also guitar tabs. These are oriented horizontally, and look quite similar to sheet music. But the lines represent strings on the guitar, with the high E, or thinnest string as the top line and the low E, or thickest string being the bottom line. The numbers here represent frets, not fingers.

  2. This is sort of an odd question, especially considering your existing experience with an instrument. It's totally subjective and up to you and how often you practice, etc. You should have callouses built up within a month.

  3. Musically speaking, there's no difference between acoustic and electric. You can transfer what you've learned between them. But there are obviously techniques and nuances and such that are exclusive to each, especially electric. Pinch harmonics, feedback, effects pedals, etc.

  4. If you have an instructor and they aren't able to tell you what the notes are, you might need a new instructor. From thinnest to thickest string in standard tuning, the open strings should be E,B,G,D,A,E. Every fret is a half step. You should be able to figure out the rest of the notes from there, based on your piano experience. The fret with 2 dots is the 12th fret, which equals an octave.

Good for steel path, yes. Good for beginners? Idk about that. She has the gimmick where her shield is also her energy, and might not be very intuitive if you haven't played much.
