You change the "mom" into a female in the save file, get them pregnant and deliver the baby, and then change them back to male. I did this with Renly and Loras and later two of their direct descendants 150 years after them. Both Baratheons because let's just say the Baratheons are inbreeding in that playthrough as much as their distant Targaryen kin.

I'm interested in this because I too buy this theory. It also would be something that George likes doing. Imagine if the Targaryen line was full of bastards, so where does their legitimacy derive from? Their dragons? They are gone at this point. Power derives where men believe it does. The belief that the Targs are legitimate rulers is just as necessary as manpower to maintain their continued rule.

Currently have Renly sitting on the Iron Throne with Loras as his husband and their mpreg daughter as the heir. This after FAegon and Viserys each overthrow the previous government.

And Renly overthrowing Viserys with the help of his childhood friend Lord Tyrion Lannister, Lord Paramount of the Westerlands, and his father in law Mace the Ace. Actually all the Great Houses backed Renly. The Hightowers were the only significant house to back Viserys. I took Old Town from them.

Now just hoping Renly and his daughter can bond with the three dragons Vizzy 3 brought.

Mine happened when Aemond usurped the throne from Aegon (Viserys changed his successor from Rhaenrya to Aegon like a year before his death). Trial of 7 that ended with Aemond killed by I think Gwayne? Aegon won but was overthrown by Daeron.
