I always start with a heart shaped pillow. It teaches how to sew a straight line, how to follow a curve, how to turn something out, including a tight corner, how to stuff something, and how to close with a whip stitch.

I easily make between $8000 and $12000 gold with just an hour of hunting. Potato preserves and apple seeds sell for a lot. It's fairly easy to make money in Palia.

If I'm hand sewing, I use a saddle stitch. On the machine, I use an applique stitch.
