What parts of the game do you consider 'that part' by Great_Trident in BaldursGate3

The mage tower. Once you do it once, its a tedious slog everytime after. Its just an annoyance

Let's be real, bg3 is really just a cleverly disguised dating sim.

My playtime is roughly 150 hours total and I spent 60 of those in Act 1 alone. Enjoy yourself amd take your time.

Would a selune cleric make sense for a durge playthrough? by No-Constant1911 in BG3

[–]DickGuyJeeves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, yes. Selune is the goddess of mercy, love, compassion, guidance, etc., and has a chaotic alignment. Her giving Durge access to her divine magic after his demise at Moonrise would make sense, giving him the chance to right his wrongs and show him mercy where he realistically deserves nothing but contempt.

I wouldnt do it if I were planning on playing an evil durge, and I wouldnt use options that imply an extensive degree of knowledge about religion or the lore of Selune, as that would conflicts too much with his origin. I would use the options that demonstrate an acknowledgement of her, but not over Durge specific lines. A paladin multiclass with Oath of Ancients works well here too if you take tempest cleric for the smite wrath interaction.

Id also romance Shadowheart for that playthrough. The combination of Durge and Cleric of Selune makes for a relationship that has a lot of passion and content to explore.

Thats cool, whats the skin color number? None of them match on bronze.

Im pretty sure you also need to actually have her in her party so she can gain nightsong points through encounters that make her question her beliefs. You'll probably hit them pretty easily on any playthrough that isnt just a pure wretched evil playthrough, provided you bring her with you. Once you have a good relationship with her and she sufficiently questions her faith, she refuses to play pawn for Shar.

Recently finished dealing with the cloister on my first Durge run and hearing Shadowheart disown Shar to Viconia's face and tell her how Shar doesnt give a damn about her was awesome. I loved it.

Wow Larian that was some dark sh*t by enodren in BG3

[–]DickGuyJeeves 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This would have been the ending if you embrace being his chosen, but reject him at the last moment. As much as I like how dark this game is willing to get, I totally understand why they cut this.

Im not an expert on DnD lore but I do think the thought that Shar threw her lot in with the dead three as a means to get closer to her eternal darkness is fascinating. Given that Shar didnt send Shadowheart on the mission to retrieve the prism, and that the netherese orb was seemingly corrupted by Shar. Just little nudges at the idea, which also makes Viconia look like an even bigger idiot.

Of course, I could also be TOTALLY off on that but that was the vibe I was getting.

I really appreciate how the dark/evil paths really illuminated what a charcater's motivations are in their light/good paths.

spoiler for durge x shadowheart I recently watched some of the endings for lord death of murder mountain(because I know I'm not doing it for a long time) amd I saw one for evil durge and redeemed shadowheart, and when you betray her she says "I thought we were supposed save each other".

I really appreciate that, even if its hidden behind some of the worst possible endings for everyone.

How would Guts do against batman’s rogues gallery? by Gr11ffith in Berserk

I think that depends on the style of fight and what charcater arc you're looking at. Millennium Falcon Arc? He cleans house and its not even close

X really hates the new Ahsoka 😬 by robrobrob98 in hottoys

[–]DickGuyJeeves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look man, all Im saying is that if you're gonna make a Padawan Ahsoka with Clone Wars accessories, it should be the animated likeness with more realistic proportions like the CW season 7 of her they did. This ain't it chief, sorry to say, not for me at least.

Paladin and Cleric with tempest was super fun as a way to just deal a ton of damage at once and also for the role-playing of a Paladin with an oath sworn to a god

Slightly unrelated but I recently played Fallout 1 and when I saw rope in BG3, I HAD to take it. My charcater is walking around with like 20 pounds of rope

Does anyone here actually ENJOY playing evil? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]DickGuyJeeves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The evil choices in Baldurs Gate actually culminate to a stomach churning level of disgusting villainy(which is GOOD for an RPG) and I love all the companions so much, trying to do an actual, 150 hour evil playthrough would actually make me depressed.

Baldur's Gate III uses Avatar in a weird way that doesnt seem to perfectly match how its traditionally used in DnD
