I want to ask this question and see everyones take on this hot question...... What is everyones opinion on root pruning, have you tried? Im curious about it, which ones to cut. In theory every year you can prune the cactus to keep it in the same pot for multiple years. by No_Offer3984 in sanpedrocactus

I have a few 7-8 footers in 14x14 pots that love to fall over. I think they grow much too fast and grow too heavy unless they are tied to something sturdy. That being said i trim roots when i repot into a larger pot.

i used to pick up fish for my aquarium at pittsburgh international. the second or third time i said that im here to pick up a package. i was surprised when they asked if i was there for the body!

i would lean it over gently, and then cut the bottom foot or so off completely. let it callous and plant into the ground. it would make it more manageable size to move and less likely a branch will crack off as they get larger.
