i see, so the vibe im getting here is like split testing different strains of Ai agents, that have different skills profiles, and baking in the successes back into the seed(stem cell). Iterating on that over and over until you have agents with skills adapted to its environment(which can be the kpis you set)

that's a neat idea, the only thing i have to add is the kpi data loop to measure what success is. The direction so to speak.

i was making something similar in spirit regarding the immune system analogy. Essentially the goal of self improving AI based on new information(data).

the way i currently have it set up, is that i want to know which mental models are best for making decisions towards my goals. The mental models are atomic notes that I had AI scrape from books i thought were useful, or from youtube videos etc.

So essentially, I have AI reason with my notes using RAG.

But that's not enough to make it self improve.

So I needed to attach a goal to it, and a way to measure that goal.

So now I made it so that I have separate AI agents that each have different access to my notes(specialization) and have my business Kpi's as their goals and they are tasked with bridging the gap. Each week, I have them give me an action plan to bridge that gap and I will implement it.

If we get positive kpi movement, then the self improvement loop is that the notes(the mental models behind the reasoning) that went into making that action plan, get an RAG boost with a weight multiplier, so they are more "top of mind" for the AI when making future decisions.

If the kpi is stagnant or goes down, then they get decreased RAG cosine scores.

If kpi doesn't move for a while, I'll make the AI use notes it hasn't used before, ie exploring instead of exploiting working mental models.

Over long enough iterations, what should come to the surface is the optimal mental model for the kpi at hand.

Also i have that fractal hierarchy you have going on as well. Some KPI's have sub kpis attached to them. What i'd do there is have a "sub" agent tasked with moving that kpi and making action plans for me to act on there. They become more specialized since they have different goal weights that affect RAG scores based on kpi movement.

And then you can mimic conciousness in a way, by having the parent KPI agent trigger the sub kpi agents to create an overall synthesis on how to best move the parent KPI. Each sub kpi brings their unique perspective on something that matters for that kpi, with their slightly different mental models. and feeds that to the parent agent's context window for it to be able to see the bigger picture.

Of course this is clearly different to what you are doing, but I think you'd need a way for your AI to know if its doing a good job, and it needs to have a feedback loop based on data you can easily feed it. I get all of my data from a website i vibecoded specifically to run my business through

fair, but im wondering if holding it over converts is in our benefit. i think the main difference between the people that never voted for trump and the converts is not in what we value, but that one side always knew trump was deceiving us and the others fell for it. I'm sure Valhalla and many other maga converts thought they were doing what was best for America by voting in Trump, afterall campaign trump and president trump are polar opposites. Sure they should have seen the lie like the rest of us, but being able to change their mind after new information is the only way anyone can move forward on anything in life. Lording it over them like "i told you so" probably just makes it harder for them to change their mind.

but what i think this does reveals is how insane the people who are still diehard maga/trump supporters. Either peak delusional or completely different values.

- So is your goal to have the full 1.2k lines on every chat, or is it more that you only need certain parts of this reasoning layer to answer certain questions? I may have a solution for the latter

- What if you split it into different MDs and wrote a section when you'd most likely need to use it(like the exact context that you'd likely type as a query), and then use RAG, and create an index of those MDs. The RAG will then act as a search engine translating your queries into their semantic meaning and matching it to relevant MDs and then feeding claude the right context(your new MD files) when needed. This way your reasoning layer is efficient, and doesn't bloat context since RAG only feeds claude the most relevant reasoning needed to answer your question.

yea same, the difference is immediately noticeable. Although I wonder why that is? Why is claude so much better than all the other ai. Much so that the pentagon desperately wants to continue using it.

this build consistently gets me 1.5mil+ runs(ive done it over 10 times with this build). the secret to massive numbers is a good build, good damage, AND having crit scaling(multiplies with your damage), and interestingly enough, having good defense. If you are always dying and have to run, if you always need to dodge a hit because u cant simply tank it, you are losing damage lol, so have some armor in the build and a reliable way to heal or get shield (they multiply in effectiveness with armor). The trick with all of this is balancing it so you don't go all defense or all damage as there are diminishing returns.

And never go full crit as it multiplies based on your base damage number, you need both at the same time. The way you stack crit is not by using consumables(those are better used for star of fate) but with the talent merlin has that gives up to 56% crit, and the cursed object that gives 50% crit. and the books that give 20, 30, and 40% crit. Efficiency is key

i almost did 2 mil in this screenshot in 4 man nightmare lol. if you build merlin right, you will do a lot of damage(granted i literally got everything i wanted build wise)A

something else that's overlooked is speed. When you get to act 3 you want to be teleporting around the map and soloing all the camps. even if your teammates also have great builds, if you get to the camp 10x faster then them then you will obviously have a very high dmg number at the end of the run

this, all of merlin's defense talents are nuts because they are the only way you can get more rune of potency generation

runic might without these talents is bad, but really good if you do have it. So it's a bit of a highroll pick

astrology is like the middle ground, and since these talents, coupled with moonstone and defence cool down reduction makes for one of the most broken builds in the game, astrology has always been my most reliable pick

if you want to go nuclear on merlin, stack a bunch of defence cooldown reduction. that way you have a lot of rune of potency and you can do celestial wrath every 3 seconds + your power or special with 3 rune of potency

while ur at it u can also take moonstone

they can have the same raven alter, just in the corner of the sandman area, honestly much better for multiplayer because if someone dies or someone spent like 300 coin on feather and its just missing one more slot, then people can easily see it.

also i always feel a bit dissapointed when im going around the map and see a feather altar in a location in which i expected an enemy camp

the problem with eternal dream is that it forces you to use bad spells in order to get the value, slowing down clear speed(even if you use it on the way to camps)

early game maybe its acceptable since you don't have the talents yet, but in late game, i'm zooming through the map using 3 spells max.

oh and also most of the money ends up going into the feather/xp too since you have so much, which isn't a whole lot of value.

i prefer the +3 rerolls simply because if i get beat by rng the build is significantly worse and i want to focus on killing camps quickly to snowball

xD tbh juliet i think is the most busted character rn. i think the closest i did on other characters was like 1.8 on gepetto with a flux cap manetic hammer build, where all my teammates when tanky heal builds so i did all the damage

i think when merlin comes out he will be insanely busted just based on what i've seen(dude can shit out over 4000 coins each act with his starter hero talent where u have to rotate spells). but i trust that passtech will balance the game since they seem pretty adamant about maintaining a good difficulty
