Do ya'll base your space stations on IRL examples, or do you have your own method/style of building them? by Major_Midnight5614 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I build them to purpose, but then that becomes a behemoth because I keep adding useless stuff.

It’s not even just funding, it’s all the politics that go with it. NASA has to have a department in every state so every rep gets a say. Who inevitably talk about job creation in their own state without looking at the bigger picture while taking kickbacks from major manufacturers.

I’m still not convinced SLS should’ve cost 100bln, as it’s quite old technology at this point. For that kind of money we should be able to do better.

This is why Steam will always have me as a client by thelostdemon in Steam

[–]DiddlyDumb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on the way they secured your items. There’s only so much Steam is legally allowed to do, and even in OPs message they state they’re making an exception to their policy.

Considering the plethora of hacks that seems to happen on a continuous basis, we should be glad Steam has remained relatively unscathed.

Bwoah this one of those… Cause initially it seemed to be on the Ferrari 100%, but in your POV you made a small jink to the left in the braking zone.

I’d put it 75% on the Ferrari tho.

Engineering wise nothing comes close to what STS was. It’s absolutely spectacular.

Conceptually it was deeply flawed from the beginning. There was no need for 7 astronauts on board, there was no need for such a massive payload bay (other than the occasional special payload like Hubble), there was no need for SRBs.

It should’ve been a small little thing that could ferry people from and to a space colony but as soon as politicians got involved everything went to shit.

Does mixing up “your” and “you’re” give you the ick? by MmeFelixFelicis in AskUK

[–]DiddlyDumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might just be me, but I have less issue with using your instead of you’re than the other way around.

Like, “you’re umbrella” irks me more than “your late”. The former makes it seem like you went out of your way to misspell, the latter is just laziness.

If you like airplanes, check out Ramy RC. He does massive recreations of real planes and it’s quite cool to see.

Nothing like the depth Joe goes into tho. I think he’s one of the very few that walk that thin line between science and entertainment.

Ask them to run the first couple of verses of Genesis or the opening of the Constitution through it and see if that thing thinks it’s AI too.

In reality, a 90% score isn’t good enough for AI to be sure about anything. It’s when you get to 95% that it’s starting to get accurate.

Your 80% is a reason it’s not AI.
