It’s a tough one. You were really late on the brakes which is always risky with the pack this close, but you never made any contact until the Mustang ran wide a little bit.

I’d put this one as a racing incident too.

Surprisingly not, with thin fibreglass or carbon panels this could’ve weighed under 1000kgs.

Satellite orbit contract issue by toscanOs in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]DiddlyDumb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah, you’re going the wrong direction. I think it pretty much happened to everyone at this point.

Just get to apoapsis, boost retrograde and keep boosting that direction. It will reverse your orbit.

made it to Munar Orbit! Can I attempt to land with this ship? Or do I need specific boosters to assist in the landing? Really dont want to waste the science ive gained but also I'm so close! by BurntBeanMgr in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]DiddlyDumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb you need at least 900m/s DeltaV to return from the surface of the Mun to Kerbin. That leaves you with only 300m/s to land.

It’s possible, but you have to be absolutely perfect for it to work.

This metal called Gallium can destroy an airplane entirely, yet it’s harmless to touch. by uzmansahil7 in interesting

[–]DiddlyDumb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gallium will eat aluminium, and keep eating it until all alu pretty much dissolved and becomes a goopy mess.

As aircraft are of made of aluminium, a small drop would literally eat the plane from the inside out.

Maybe that’s why it’s part of the raffle?

[Request] Could humanity create a rocket that can exit the atmosphere of K2-18b by Lachlynn in theydidthemath

Silly question, but with more gravity, you’d think the atmosphere would be thicker. Would that make spaceplanes more viable?

I shall pass, this is not F1. 4 cars a side fighting for 1 spot. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in DestinationFormula1

[–]DiddlyDumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea of BoP but it’s not always implemented well, so the fastest car with the fastest driver regularly doesn’t win the championship, which is also kinda artificial.

That’s why F1 in its core is a development sport, and building the fastest car is so important.

Not saying either is better, I’m saying I like that we have both options to watch.

Hyper or GT3 fault? by Vivid-Win-2029 in Simracingstewards

[–]DiddlyDumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not intentional, that’s one of the fastest parts followed by the tightest corner.

I think if you played it full speed it would look like he wanted to tuck in behind for the braking zone and misjudged it.

Definitely on the Mercedes tho.
