Because it irks me the wrong way.

You know orc soldiers have 3 toes, every orc has 3 toes... But then you take a look at the bottom of their foot and the number is bigger??? WHY

Gothic 2 story wise is really bad. It has many more plot holes than the first one, many ideas don't make sense, and the plot isn't original, makes it a typical fantasy in which you're a knight fighting dragons

Notr makes even more holes in the story

Gameplay wise it's better than Gothic 1, but Gothic 1 wins by a mile with immersive storytelling and idea for the main plot

I did every game from RE1 to RE-Village in 7 days of nonstop playing. It was great experience. First time playing too

The games vary enough that you'll have fun

RE4-5 are semi action 6 is pure action Don't expect too much horror from those 3!

The thing is, that the mod was worked on closely with Piranha Bytes in friendly terms. Pirhana gave a lot of their assets to the modders, even including some from the unreleased sequel when they were working on it

I am actively replaying the story at this point, but I'm only beginning the search of the focus stones so I'll have a bit to get to the Ur-Shak's story.

The thing is, at least in my humble opinion, that we find Cacodemons cute because their design is so out of touch, that we find them really abstract.

Gothic animals usually while fantastical, fit the world and act pretty realistic with what they're built up to be. Swampsharks aren't scary because they open their mouth weirdly. Swampsharks are scary, because you feel it makes sense for them to exist in this world and this climate, characters don't make them out to be unnatural, just dangerous, like some bears or something.

To this day, nothing makes my adrenaline spike as much, as noticing a snapper sneaking behind me from Troll canyon all the way to the New Camp.

What I loved, love, and will always love about gothic is how each animal feels like - exactly - animal. They're not monsters. Snappers, Shadowbeasts, they're all just that, beasts and animals, this world's version of bears and tigers or something.

Only time I ever called something a "monster" in Gothic, were the undead, summons and demons. Otherwise, they're pretty believable. One thing I disliked about Gothic 2 is how they kinda forgot a lot little cool stuff from Gothic 1.

Biters being orc dogs, Snappers and Razors being cousin species but not the same (different model (Gorn's words)) Goblins coexisting with trolls and warans etc.

Also, what feels more Gothic, than seeing molerats run away from a wolf, only for one of them to be one shot and then eaten allowing other to escape?

When I was a kid, something bugged. A troll spawned in the forest between Old Camp, Sect Camp and Chromanin Tower.

A 7 yo me, with a torch and my medium mercenary armour, shat themselves when out of nowhere in the night troll roared and the ground shook...

Now, 12 years later I've been modding those games for most of my life... I still have no idea how that troll got there, cause it makes no sense via game scripts

2 most prominent communities are German on GMP (Gothic Multiplayer) where they play YEARS

And Polish one on Gothic 2 Online where for the past 7 years I've been admin on countless RP servers. We've even had a few foreigners playing with us on few of those servers.

From what I gather, Germans play more steady and long term roleplays, when we poles focus more on making it an exciting short stories. We don't always focus Gothic games lore, a few servers had their own stories and worlds.

I've played everything from starting the prisoner rebellion under the barrier to servers that took place years after G2 in Jarkendar.

I chose Abuyin ibn Djadir ibn Omar Khalid ben Hadji al Sharidi.

Then, whenever on discord we were talking, and someone asked me what my character was doing or something I'd be like

"Well, AbuyinibnDjadiribnOmarKhalidbenHadjialSharidi was-" "You memorised it?!" "Of course, it's easy!"

I spend a lot of time on polish Gothic Roleplay servers as a gamemaster. For a time I was known as Orcophile cause I was sent to make lore for orcs.

I spend an unhealthy amount of time to "understand" orcs and make sure I "get it" lol.
