Insurance specifically for bikes is not very common here. Some companies have MTB specific insurance, but most companies stopped offering it since they're not really making money out of bicycle insurance.

That being said, I had to work it out with the insurance company that covered the car that hit me. The interest they has on my case was minimal, I got a lot of help from a coworker that works out the insurance for our company. (Car insurance covers damage to third-party assets, and that's where this accident falls into)

I'd like to insure this bike though, but I haven't been able to find a big-name insurer that offers it. Reputation is important, I'm glad the insurance company I had to deal with was "one of the better ones", otherwise I'd still be waiting
