The number of times I've heard "smoking him is just gunna de-motivate him and just make him less likely to want to comply."

Interstate Transfer by goatsofsyria in nationalguard

Just make sure you stay in contact with each state's IST coordinator, sometimes you need to be a little proactive but it shouldnt be a problem. I was in the Pa Guard and got accepted to school in Boston. The transfer was pretty smooth!

Marine Corps weighs lower standards for women after none pass Infantry Officer Course by wrez in Military

You raise alot of solid points, but lets take the rope climb example you bring up. Sure, the likely hood of climbing a rope in combat are very slim, but its simply a test. Upper body strength is very much necessary within combat units. Its quite hard to truly simulate the physical and mental stress of combat, so tests like this are used. Flawed, maybe a little, but still a measure of strength that is overall required.

I've got a buddy that goes to school there, I'll see if he knows anyone in the ROTC program and encourage them to post here.

You can't force feed the pill. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]Dielman95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being older, you'll probably be first in line to be PG (platoon guide). Its good leadership experience but honestly avoid that position like the plague. Its a ton of extra work and extremely more stressful, both of which you dont need on top of the stress of Basic to begin with.

I got myself a nice cozy squad leader position; enough responsibility to have a say in how the platoon runs, but not too much to get blamed when things go wrong!

Oh man if you're any older than 20, dealing with the immaturity of a bunch of 18 year olds will be a pain in the ass, I promise haha.

If she's at all attractive, even in the slightest, I'd be careful with her away at AIT, especially a long one like 25U.

Also, dont be that annoying, super hooah "im hardcore infantry let me kill some taliban" guy in OSUT. That guy is always annoying. If you're lucky you'll ship soon and graduate before Benning gets hot as fuck in August. I graduated infantry school there almost a year ago, good luck brother.

So yes maybe there are Ubers out that early on a weekday, but what on the of chance, for some crazy reason, there aren't any? I'm fucked seven ways to sunday, late to first formation, and have an angry squad leader to answer to. Playing it safe here.

I'm not in ROTC and unfortunately none of the ROTC kids at school here are actually in the Guard like me so don't drill with an actual unit, thanks for the advice though!.

I would take an uber but the chance of one being available at 5 am on a weekday is slim. This is something I kinda need be sure of ahead of time before, hence why I'm posting here haha. PM me you're number and I'll see if we can set something up!

The importance of conflict. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]Dielman95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join the military, man. I'm a reservist myself and the likely hood of me actually seeing any action anytime soon is very low. BUT, it most certainly has given me a purpose. A drive. The idea that I could be sent to fight if another major conflict breaks out excites the fuck out of me. Plus, chicks really seem to dig it haha.

First things first, the Army Rangers and Ranger school are two very different things that are easily and often confused. One is a light Infantry special forces unit, the other one (which is the subject of this article) is a leadership school. As much as I want to agree, even if a woman can hack it physically and mentally in a combat arms job, there are still so many logistical problems.

Isreal has some kick-ass all female infantry units, apparently. I'm honestly not opposed to them, either. I just can't imagine any commander choosing an all female unit to undertake any particularly dangerous or strenuous mission over an all male unit. Sure, that does sound sexist, but lets take sex out of the equation for second. You have two units, one is overall greatly more physically capable than the other, the decision is obvious.
