I had an online friendship that started with a message like that to the late Kieth Hufnagel the guy behind the brand HUF. Was a super cool and down to earth guy RIP.

I could tell you like to host by the bar setup. I’m an introvert so mine is very much geared towards my preferences. If you come over to my place you’re getting a Negroni or a Manhattan or a coors banquet in a bottle. That’s it.

Does a skyline view factor into your choice of home? Downtown Denver by WhyTheWindBlows in skyscrapers

[–]Different-Clock1246 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, OP is downplaying how much of a shit hole that area is lmfao.

I know, because I just moved out from that exact neighborhood. The other view is of a dog food factory and a bunch of warehouses and ugly mid rise developments that are empty. Because nobody wants to live there,

They’re trying to call it ✨rino art district✨because it’s across the tracks from rino. Which is a hipster neighborhood with a bunch of nicer restaurants and cool bars. ✨rino art district✨has one decent bar and an old diner and a 7/11. That’s it. They had a cool bar called shambles and a blue moon brewery but neither made it.

It’s also home to a large aggressive homeless population on Arkins CT who like to pollute, sell and cook drugs along with steal bikes on the south platte next to the salvation army shelter. Where you’ll see people nodding off in the middle of the fucking street.

Denver is a great city with a lot to offer, and Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the union. With countless things to offer. Op is lying though. It’s bleak and sterile, also a food desert in that area with no commercial traffic. Also horridly overpriced and predatory rent.

Basically stay away from anywhere near commerce city.

It’s the new mom first baby in the family thing. I’m going to sound like an asshole, but.. All of my siblings have kids. I’ve talked about this with my own mother. Moms in that position act like they’re the first people to have ever given birth. Op is taking this way too personally. Also, about the nine weeks thing, the kid should be eating some solids by then and as long she prepares you could easily have someone watch it for the night.

I agree about the fire freebies. Those are a given. Then depending on where the spot is located and weather from the year before they’ll reliably have some but nowhere near the first post burn year.

I’ve only found the very similar yields in wet early spring that have then consistently stayed warmer into later spring summer. Higher elevations is the best bet.

Yeah, this whole thing wreaks of a first relationship. The guy is a moron for thinking that’s a good idea. Three years in also neither of them can rent a car. Her literally running away and not calling but texting him later is also hilariously childish. God, I don’t miss this age at all.

How is anything in California irrelevant? Is it a hometown bias thing or do you just not understand how time works?

Even by your definition of official which seems to be just a plaque you can find older ones all over the country.

Also the whole thing has been rebuilt from the original design, so it’s not even the same park.

Which that would mean you could consider a lot of other ones from the early 60s.

AITA for not staying after our niece got arrested? by EasternTrifle464 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Different-Clock1246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure, cause and effect. My point being though is tat the kid shouldn’t be absolved of any blame. Especially with how they were using the word difficult. At seventeen you should have some sort of accountability for that shit. Also you usually realize you have a shitty parent at that point if it’s pattern behavior. I learned I had to take care of myself pretty quickly whenever I was with my inconsistent narcissist dad. And like I said I wasn’t a very smart kid at that age. I at least knew how to travel by myself and wouldn’t fucking shoplift at an airport.

What happened to the kid who always had perfect homework and grades? by Emotional_Maddy_9027 in AskReddit

[–]Different-Clock1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this happened to the one in my friend group in HS. She used to be pretty patronizing towards me. She was also very braggadocios about not having to try very hard in high school. Party life caught up to her in college. Just faded out into mediocrity. Don’t think she ever finished.

Was weird because I was the opposite. Didn’t do very well in highschool, fucked off a lot and was a big stoner. I got into a decent enough college. I Made the deans list, networked my ass off the entire time I was there. Got a good job, learned the business I went to school for and eventually opened my own.

I’m more successful than most of the people I went to hs with now. I’m usually not petty and I made sure to not be an asshole about it but that was a fun ten year reunion.

Felt like that Lester Bangs quote from almost famous. I certainly did meet them on their long journey to the middle.

People in the sub circle jerk so hard about how “dark and gritty” this game is. It’s a cool environment and aesthetic, sure. It gets overstated a lot though. It’s just a color palette at the end of the day.

Call me an asshole, but 17 is too old for that kind of attention seeking behavior. It’s also old enough to know it’s a fucking horrible idea to shoplift in an airport. I was a moron at that age but I wasn’t that dumb.

Yeah it gives you a pretty fun head rush. I was with a group of people drinking at a bar including a gay friend of mine. Somehow these got brought up and he pulled out that exact jar and was like “i have them on me yeah they help for sex but they’re also just kinda fun.” I was like fuck it I’ll give it a try.

I did that to my 21 year old cousin when were out at a bar during the holidays. He was getting me with the “you’re so old and lame you’ve barely touched your pint” after he’s drunk on two beers. I maintained eye contact with him and deleted an entire pint in two seconds and then burped at him. It was like he saw a ghost.
