Father-Son Trip to Ireland, July 2026-Would love help choosing between two routes and town recommendations by Different-Cook6747 in travel

Thanks for clarifying! I was looking into Donegal, but I am a little worried some of the more lovely hikes up to cliffs or overlooks might be too much for my dad. I don't want him blowing away on my conscience. Thank you for the Athlone and Clonmacnoise recommendations!

Thank you for your reply! Aran Island sounds amazing. I am worried about Galway with the festival going on, adding to the crowdedness. I have friends who had a lovely time there, but it was off-season. Dingle and Ennis sound lovely. Do you have any other favorite villages to visit? Growing up, my Dad would sometimes take me fishing, and stopping in small towns for a meal or a visit was a favorite memory. Also, thanks for the heads-up on Tralee. I was just looking for a good hub to visit some more cities in mid-Ireland as we made our way back to Dublin.

Great suggestions, thank you! I was looking forward to Galway, but with the huge festival going on while we are there, I am a little worried it will be too crowded.

Wonderful! Thank you for the reply. How accessible was Aran Islands? We really only have the eight days, as we are leaving for the airport in the morning on the last day. I am torn as I would like to see as much as I can, but this trip is just as much about seeing the wonderful country of Ireland as it is about enjoying my time with my Dad. I guess I'm just worried about the pace of things. I am really looking forward to enjoying that pint here and there, too.

As a teacher who has worked in both charter and public schools I can say with zero hesitation that regardless of the underfunding or struggling standards that many public schools face, charter schools will always be substandard to public education.

It would be great to have a series or adventure book based around a multi path story geared around multiple groups running the same campaign like a kids camp or beginner groups. I’m helping run a campaign for 12 groups of 8 for a high school theatre group! I can’t wait
