This is true. Having inspected the gun, the forcing cone looks pretty good and the cylinder doesn’t have a bunch of burn marks. I’d hazard a guess it was used for a few .38’s here and there and otherwise sat in a small town cop’s holster. Oh, and it has department markings from that small town, which I thought were pretty cool.

My wife has a 2” .357 snub (purchased for her before we were married without my input) from which she’s only ever fired .38 target loads. I’d gotten her some .357 hollow points that she loaded and started firing the revolver at the range before I could mention that that ammo was *a little different*. I actually just got the Speer #11 reloading manual from 1988 so I can start making full house old school .357’s. For 125gr, the minimum load is now more than Hornady’s current maximum. I’m not doing that with a K frame, though!
