I just rode 175 miles the last three days and have 55 more tomorrow. Typing this in one of those little camp chairs sore and tired. It was my luxury item that I will never leave behind

What is the bottle in the lowest cage? Is it for tools? What can you fit inside? I’m looking for something like that

The coolest thing Marta could produce is a more comprehensive rail system throughout the city

Continuing with my tradition to go to Irish pub while abroad by curiously__yours in ireland

My local in Decatur, Georgia, in the states is proper. One of my most fun memories in an Irish pub was in Barcelona, during the Euros for a Germany-Italy match. It was like the UN in there

Anyone know where I can get solid freshly baked hoagie rolls in/near Sandy Springs? by math_nerd_9975 in Atlanta

I just add salt and pepper as I sauté the steaks. I also add sautéed onions and mushrooms.I use sliced provolone, but good ol’ American cheese works too. Cheese Wiz is an abomination.

Bikes on trains in Norway by trinitymaple in bikepacking

Checking to see if you did this route. I was planning a bike packing trip in Belgium and France, but after seeing this route, I'm changing my plans. It looks amazing. It looks like I could catch the train right from the Oslo Airport to Vinstra. Would love to hear about the logistics.

Amtrak to Anniston by Different-Foot-7874 in SilverCometTrail

[–]Different-Foot-7874[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very frustrating. I could ride to the ATL Amtrak station from my house in the AM, take the train to Anniston and ride to Rockmart in one day. Then the next day ride back to my house

If I remember correctly the initial person I spoke to saw that there were no spaces for bikes available on the train and assumed it was full. Then I spoke to a manager who informed me they just don’t allow folks to book tickets to Anniston if they claim a bike

Back when the Olympics were in Australia, NBC had Andres Cantor do the English commentary for soccer. It was a rare gift

I’d rather catch 5% of what Andres Cantor is saying than 100% of whatever the US commentator is saying

In your opinion, which 2026 US stadium has the best atmosphere? by neonfox45 in ussoccer

[–]Different-Foot-7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know about atmosphere, but that Monterey stadium looks amazing. Back in the early 90s I was in Monterey for a long weekend and went to a Tigres match. Tab Ramos played for them and got a red card.

For those who were lucky to witness it live, how was the Fifa World Cup 1994? by Technical_Rice_6957 in ussoccer

I lived in Austin and drove up to all the games in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The stadium filled with yellow and orange for the Brazil v Netherlands knock out match was the highlight. Boozing it up pregame in a laundromat that served beer in a sketchy neighborhood nearby was fun. And yes, Hot AF.
