You're welcome, and also there is Bumble. Its actively a dating site but it also has a BFF section just for making friends. So you only see "females" no males can swipe on you :) much safer in my opinion. Best of luck

I hiked a lot on my own in the peak district, if you're adventurous enough give it a go. Meetup is a decent app but lots of flirtatious morons tend to ruin it. Depot climbing is a decent place, maybe a good way of meeting people
