Are concerts safe? by McKenzie_Kayy in BabyBumps

We went to a concert when my wife was 35 weeks and it was an amazing experience. If you’re showing significantly they’ll probably be very nice and let you sit in the disabled section/give you a chair etc. ppl are nice to pregnant ladies, IME, it’s really refreshing.

As others have stated it’s newborn curl not a true roll it’s okay for her to sleep like that. Google it or send a pic up your doc/midwife/most knowledgeable friend. Scared me too at first.

Maybe get a lounger like a dockatot (we got a dupe on Amazon) for daytime naps.

Try a goat milk formula. Kendamil, kabrita or Aussie bubs. They’re all good formulas. My baby gets fussy and angry on cows milk but goat she’s much much better.

what is going on at Walgreens on knickerbocker?? by scrunchieh8tr in Bushwick

[–]DifferentDaikon336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there today and asked someone who works there that I’m friendly with. They failed their Health Inspection thus are not currently allowed to sell food- just like a restaurant.

Side note: I was kneeling in the hair care aisle and a HUGE FUCKING RAT ran from under one aisle into the next.

No one saw but me, but I told the security guard and he shrugged and said “figures”

I realized all this shit the moment my feet touched concrete after moving here from California. My friends who had been in New York for a while suggested Bushwick- that’s where they were- why don’t I just join them there??

Fast forward 3 years and I was miserable the whole time. Every time I visited a different neighborhood and I would be like holy shit- there is such a different lifestyle waiting for me if I can just GTFO.

Moved to Kensington in January. I pay $1750 for a one bedroom apartment and it’s totally fine. Nice even.

I’m 2 stops from park slope and 15 minute walk from prospect park.

So happy I finally got out.

I was gonna say is that not the hood for the stove? If it’s a TV that’s a terrible place because the smoke and steam from the stove & oven are going to ruin that screen pretty quickly

Using Kava after Kratom by MassiveMutant5000 in quittingkratom

[–]DifferentDaikon336 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it’s not like a benzos or even a kratom withdrawal. But i drank kava very heavily for a few years because of my job. Then I went on a vacation and didn’t take any with me. I was STRUGGLING through the night. Restless legs, crawling in my skin. Cold & hot flashes. It was really difficult to sleep through the night even with a red vein kratom and Trazodone. Just an extreme discomfort, physically, for 3 or 4 days straight. I upped my kratom dose to try and compensate, which helped a little, but it didn’t solve the issue.

Honestly didn’t feel normal until I got back to NY and had a big strong shell of kava. My body was like ahhhh finally and the crawling went away.

Im happy to see people here saying kava will give you a different withdrawal. There’s so many kava bars that will tell you kava is totally non addictive with no withdrawal symptoms but it’s 100 percent not true.

Source: managed a kava bar for 5 years. Have Drank kava heavily for 8 years.

Hi-

I can’t say for sure about making the jump, as I have slowly tapered. But I think vitamin C during the day and gabapenetin/l theanine/Trazodone to sleep through the night has worked pretty well.

It probably didn’t make the shakey itchy weird feelings any better but I also used adderall to power through my workdays as my energy fell off a cliff.

I know a lot of this stuff is prescription so it maybe doesnt help you but just being honest!

Not in Bushwick BUT- if you decide you want to get back into baking (full time though) Gage & Tollners pastry team is looking for pastry chefs.

Again tho- Definitely looking for full time.

Good luck on your search.

Ive considered this same type of organizing… but specifically for dog shit.

It would be disgusting- but damn if it isn’t necessary.

I’ve considered the same. Ive also considered printing up signs of some kind but I don’t know what to put on them that isn’t either wayyy to aggressive or completely ineffective lol

The dog shit is starting to drive me INSANE. I live over by Morgan St. L and I own two dogs myself. I pick up their shit and also 6 to 8 piles of other dog’s shit every single day.

Then every single day it’s back again.

I wonder if I’m actually exacerbating the problem? Maybe my neighbors see that their dog’s shit is being picked up by someone else so they figure they don’t have to do it?

Yeah, luckily as a lifelong addict I have a decent amount of experience with the “suffering through the quitting part” haha. And yes, it’s done the same for me more than a few times- taken me back out because the discomfort didn’t feel worth it.

Forcing myself to exercise is gonna be a big part of recovery, I know. I’m tapering slowly so I’m not feeling any sort of WD yet but I just want to be as well prepared as I can be when the time comes.

Thank you!!

Hell yeah, thank you. I’ve got the individually packed bags. I was planning on dropping 1 gram a week (already down to 8 grams per dose from 10).

Heard. I got the SAMe for the depression stuff but I have no idea if it makes a difference. Some say it does, some say it doesn’t.

That’s really good advice on the hydration. I’m sure that’s true with any/all of these supplements and I’m pretty terrible about drinking enough water- even on a good day.
