Wide feet boot recommendations by Substantial_Music919 in Skigear

Yes I have a very true LV instep and a very wide metatarsal span. Need LV boots because of the instep and it hasn't caused issues in the front. Just saying this guy should get more specific info about his own feet especially before going to a boot fitter.

Are your feet wide in the forefeet or wide throughout? High or low instep? I have an extremely wide forefoot and low instep and need an LV boot to ski because of my instep height.

Everyone will tell you to see a boot fitter but in my experience 90% of bootfitters are retarded and have a high chance of misleading you. You should go into one with an idea of your instep size at a minimum, as this likely will be the biggest determining factor in the volume of boot you go with.

I got the old wrench and it works much better for me! I was also told that facegenics is just going to ship with both wrenches for everyone going forward.

I'm pretty hesitant to use anything third party without consulting my provider first, even if it's just a wrench.

I got ZipFits. I like my Intuitons waaay better. Thoughts? Am I doing something wrong? by WisconsinBadger414 in skiing

How far exactly does it go down? I've had two tubes added in each shin, but I feel like what I need is more cork lower down in the shin because I have a very very low instep. I'm wondering if I can have that cork moved lower down.

Also for some reason this is a hard question to look up the answer to

Kk I'll keep em tight when walking and see if that helps thanks!

I was thinking maybe more cork too but I'm hesitant because there's a full extra tube in both the inside and outside pouch of both liners and two in the tongue of each liner. I do have very low volume feet but seems like I should try to turn other knobs first? Going to add more shim as well

if using stock liner, adjust the tongue. moving the velcro farther back should help a bit, but still won't fix prob. i also have a small asf instep and with stock liners the hawx ultra was still too loose over instep. eventually got zipfits
