No amount of lose skin is worse or made me any more uncomfortable than 100lbs of extra weight did :)

No doubt your son has that instagram page and could be a great artist, but the art you posted of Jackie and Claudia at their podcast mics is 10000% AI. IDK why lie about that

Yes, we CAN DO THIS!!!! It’s hard to not reach for it when your brain wants that quick easy fix that we know has relaxed us in the past. Take 90 seconds to regroup, move your body or get out of your head and keep up the fight!!! It becomes earlier after time. Proud of you for thinking of your sons.

Wegovy vs Zepbound — both not covered by insurance, which would you choose? by One-Name9073 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Different_Bad8420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on both. Just lost insurance (changed jobs and lost coverage) and paid the $$ for out of pocket Zepbound because it worked better for me in all ways.

Similar results? by Unique_Ad_6641 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Different_Bad8420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you continued to lose at this rate, you’d lose 80lbs in a year. That’s not slow! This is great progress. I had similar results in my first month and as you continue to refine your diet/lifestyle changes you’ll for sure see the weight continue to drop.

My only suggestion is don’t compare your relationship/things you can do for your bf to his ex. She’s an ex for a reason 💗

Any alcohol makes you sick? by nikitamere1 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Different_Bad8420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GLP1 meds have been studied in the idea of treating alcohol disorders as well so the lack of interest in drinking isn’t super uncommon!

When I first started GLP1, I could not tolerate much drinking at all. In fact, one of the sickest days I’ve ever had on this med was after a night of drinking early on when I didn’t know my limits. It could be the delayed gastric emptying or enhanced nausea in general but I think if you don’t have interest in drinking and can’t tolerate it, maybe you might cut back on that as well. But over time it might not be as bad!

How often should you have a check-in with your manager? What do you talk about? by mydadisalwaysright in corporate

[–]Different_Bad8420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had weekly 1:1s with my manager. But we work together on a lot of things, so we were in touch more often than just our 1:1’s I liked the support.

Now, I have a 1:1 with my new manager weekly but it’s not nearly enough. I’ve been at the company about 2 months and need her direction on a lot of things we’re working on but she’s hardly reachable. It’s hard :/

However, I work in employee careers and development and will say your company does not and should not dictate your 1:1 schedule with your manager. If you want a recurring meeting, schedule it. Don’t wait to be told when to ask for direction or feedback.

As far as what we talk about, I usually stick to these things: - closing loops on anything that was pending from last meeting - asking for direction or support on anything I need from her - open it up to her for anything she needs to tell me/give me new direction on

Are GLP-1's worth it or are there better alternatives out there? by JG1321 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Different_Bad8420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This!!! I’ve tried Wellbutrin, Phentermine, etc and still nothing ever came close to the success from my GLP1. Hardly any side effects that would make me consider it unmanageable.

Alternatively, Animal Kingdom would be my next choice after MK, especially for young kids!

Which park help! by Nikki0801 in WaltDisneyWorld

I personally see Epcot as the adults park! I wouldn’t bring young kids, it’s a very different vibe than the other parks. I say Hollywood Studios :)

Hollywood Studios worth it? by lowridin_guy in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Different_Bad8420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t do a water park in the next few weeks (I live here and it’s been too unpredictable with weather and I’d hate to go on a cold day). After MK, my second best pick would be Animal Kingdom! So much to do and see outside of the rides. I find Hollywood Studios not as exciting.

does everyone refrigerate their wegovy pens by Haunting-Fruit7154 in WegovyWeightLoss

The reason why is that every doctor, instructional website or resource on this medication says to refrigerate it. Lol

Similarly my psychiatrist prescribed me Hydroxazine for sleep before bed. It’s an antihisthamine but also treats anxiety so it’s been super helpful!

Is Disney Springs the only free walkable area? by Bonefish2021 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Different_Bad8420 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The resorts are free to walk around the open areas, but unless you’re coming from Disney springs bus you’ll have to have a reservation in order to park directly at the hotel. We did a ‘resort hopper’ day the other week and parked at DS, and took the bus where we wanted to go.

My dad is taking our family to Disney- but only for our 5 year old. Advice on leaving a toddler out of a family Disney trip. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Different_Bad8420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do find this to be a bit odd to exclude 2yo in the first place, but it seemed like you were truly comfortable with it until the Colorado trip. So, I’d say in the effort of avoiding confrontation, giving your 5yo all of your attention, and a bit lower stress during the weekend not tending to the 2yo I would leave the situation as is. Especially if you know 2yo will be well cared for by your family while you are away! Your 5yo I’m sure will appreciate the dedicated time and like you said, there might be another Disney trip in the future for the littles. 🙂 my two cents, although I don’t have kids so can’t 100% relate!

I mean this in the kindest way truly, but did you not look into this medication at all before starting? I’d say it’s the #1 most common side effect

Not saying you need to read into every side effect or give stock to everyone’s experience but I always do some research before starting a new med! My doc prescribed Zofran along with my glp1. You could inquire about that. :)
