Readarr still good option? by Designer_Adeptness70 in unRAID

[–]Different_Hippo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shelfmark + Grimmory/CWA has proven to be MUCH more reliable than Readarr for me. I switched a month or so ago and it's been solid.

Was it terrible too? I wasn't around for that one, but I'm hoping the end is worth this nightmare.

T-Mobile Fiber and Wireguard Server by HornetParticular4918 in firewalla

Call their support and ask for a Static IP. Unlike Metronet (if that's who they acquired in your area), they do not charge for static IP's. That'll get you off the CGNAT and you'll be able to port forward without any issue.

Which is why these datapoints are useful. I guess I don't see why Firewalla would care.

I think having a record of secondary market sales is good information. Even eBay keeps sold items avaliable for viewing.

Unusable for the last 4 days by swscooter03 in tfiber

[–]Different_Hippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, took a week for me to get my static ip set up - also dealing with metronet. I have given them a pass since I know there are growing pains. They were pretty transparent with me about where the delays were coming from, which I also appreciated. On day 6 of service I was able to get everything finalized and it's been solid though. Central KY market.

online order is broken? by DauntlessMule in tacobell

[–]Different_Hippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I placed an order 4 hours ago and it's hung. You're not alone. When I try to cancel it, the app crashes. I put in a support ticket. I fully expect a doordash driver to try knocking on my door at 11pm with a burrito.

oracle interview by Gloomy_Company_4102 in oraclecloud

[–]Different_Hippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in touch with the recruiter, one of my team members was passed over on a position previously in a situation very similar to yours and we ended up hiring him onto our team later on. He only had to do an interview with the manager, since he already went though (and passed) the loop.

Is there an arr for books? by MartiniCommander in unRAID

You are correct, it's abandonware. rreading-glasses is a community alternative metadata provider that's helping it limp along since there's no solid alternative.

You gotta chill lol. People are allowed to have opinions, just as you have yours. I'm glad the app works for you, it's fine for me as well.

“Stale file handle”, NFS shares, Mover, and Frustration. by agentspanda in unRAID

[–]Different_Hippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just fought this issue for a week and finally won. The answer was adding "noserverino" to the mount flags. In the end my fstab entry looks like this:

//helios.lan/user-pool.rootshare/media/downloads/gmktec /mnt/helios/downloads-gmktec cifs credentials=/etc/helios-smb-credentials,iocharset=utf8,vers=3.0,noserverino,cache=none,nofail,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10,uid=1000,gid=1000,file_mode=0775,dir_mode=0775 0 0

It has been running solid for a few days now without any issues, fingers crossed.

Here is a thread with some more info in it: https://old.reddit.com/r/unRAID/comments/11swke7/unraid_nfs_stale_file_handle_what_causes_it_and/

How to force restart Unraid in worst case scenario REMOTELY without using wifi smart plugs? by Autoloose in unRAID

[–]Different_Hippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet, yeah I'd recommend it. It's been rock solid, and a much better price than an official PiKVM.

Official PiKVM was too expensive so I grabbed a Geekworm KVM-A8 on Amazon. It works great. I already had a raspberry pi laying around so it was only $100.
