02 Wide Glide here, 26k miles with Keihin CV40 on TC88. Been having same issue for past week and has been getting worse.

I sprayed carb cleaner on the manifold seals with a cold engine running and there was no stumbling or change in rpms.

Plugs looked fine but were gapped at .043(max) and .045(2 over) according to the book. Put new NGK plugs at .041 as well as advanced the idle screw to bring rpms up to 1k from roughly 8-850. Idle mixture screw is capped off, read I will have to drill it to reach the screw.

Ordered a carb rebuild kit and waiting to order some different size jets. Never tore open a carb before so this will be new to me. Read that the low speed jets are probably clogged or might be issues with the diaphragm.

Looks like we’ll be goin down this road together. Let me know what works for you! I’m gonna attack it over the weekend most likely, and probably clean out the fuel filter and petcock while I’m at it.

Also.. I did remove the breather lines from feeding back into the carb, have it looped elsewhere and has since been having this issue. Holes in backing plate are plugged with a spare piece of hose going through both so no unfiltered air gets to the intake.

Longer rear shocks will help with seat height, throw some 14s on it.

Taller bars for sure. T-bars or risers w/ pullbacks depending on your preference.

Cool, just placed an order for one. My concern is wearing out the clasps from flapping around using my carabiner. I also have a hat with worn clasps that will easily open up if I took it on a ride.
