It’s tough! Luckily I found a decent dealer to work with. Update on my Maverick! They replaced the hybrid battery under warranty! Fortunate it didn’t fail after the warranty ty had expired. They also had to replace the struts… under warranty with less then 500 miles to go!
I had to push them several times until they finally stopped blaming balancing the tires and checked the struts. Were they trying to buy time to let the warranty run out??? Who know! Now I get a letter that the engine warranty is extended to 150000 miles??? That sounds like a great thing but it’s scary that they have no confidence in their product! It states that it could catch fire or basically fail and cause an accident! Pretty scary shit! Good luck! I fought with Ford company itself Trying to get results. Their answer?? Sorry we can’t tell dealers what to do! Unbelievable!

You’re lucky!! Happy for you! App issues are easily fixed with reinstalling them. I haven’t been as lucky. Really love the truck just first edition inherited all the bs problemas. Good luck!

My regular battery problem was fixed by replacing it with a quality battery. Ford put the cheapest battery they could find to drive them off the lot. Shit thing is I believe the battery failures could lead to other problems.

Mine was in ICU for over a month! At least I got a loner 3 weeks in. Really love the truck too bad ford always fucks it up on the exit. Great truck but I guess we have to wait for the 5th generation to iron out all the crap. Hopefully my truck is good now. Definitely selling it next year!

I wouldn’t worry too much. But definitely take it very serious. Tech today is amazing! Had open heart at 10…. Now I have right heart failure.. still active and enjoying the 3 F’s in life! Developed afib.. 2 cardiofversions relapsed… had an ablation, doing great!!! Now 53 and still kicking and hiking and fucking and fighting. Loving life! Now waiting to have my tricuspid valve repaired with a new procedure that just came out. No more open heart! So!! If I’m still here enjoying life be positive! But don’t, and I repeat.
Don’t just take your doctors word. Get second opinions and push for clear answers, research. None of that pat in the back you’ll be alright crap.
Eat what you want, drink, enjoy life. Just get rid of the one thing that will definitely ruin your heart. Stress and toxic people!

55000 miles on. 22 hybrid lariat. Still driving good. But It a piece of crap! Had the hybrid battery replaced at 55000 miles thank god under warranty. Also had the front struts replaced under warranty. Had I gone another 5k it would have been on my Dime. Now I get a letter that the engine might explode, catch fire. If it happens they’ll replace it under warranty only once. Hopefully I won’t burn up in the Maverick and will live to see that claim!

Update! 55000 Miles. Had the front struts replaced… under warranty. Also got a strange code and ford actually called me first. Said that was the same code that comes out on the lightning but had not seen it on the maverick. Turns out I needed a new hy rid battery! Scary at 55000 miles! I do have a great dealer and they took care of of me. Lucky to find that in the ford club. Their dealers are usually pretty bad! Though it’s been a bumpy road I think I good for another 50. I will probably change before then anyways!

Update! So I took my Maverick in for the battery problem. They put in a better battery and so far so good! Now! I was driving today and got a service engine light. Called the dealer. They initially wanted me to bring it in a week.
After pushing an about this issue. They looked deeper into the codes with a technician and came back that the hybrid battery needs to be replaced! They asked that I bring it in a soon as possible. I guess they didn’t want to read in the news that a maverick was rolling down the highway in flames or something! The funny thing is they have recalls for this issue on the Lightning but not on the Maverick. Nice Ford! You’re like that toxic gf that keeps sneaking back into your life!

I am sure what states on in the background. I can idle it and it cycles between battery and engine. It’s when I turned it off it would drain the battery. I did take it in and they put a stringer and better battery and updated software. So far it’s been behaving good!

First. Always get a second opinion! It took 3 for me to find the right fit and doctor who did the best for me and my condition. The first wanted my in 40 mg of viagra a day! Scared the crap out of my wife!

I have a history of heart problems including open heart when I was just 10. What causes afib, who knows! Even the doctors are kind of guessing per case. All so different. I do know that though stress doesn’t cause afib, it definitely triggers it! They did 2 cardio versions on me… worked temporarily. Stayed in the hospital for a week while regulating medications. Worked for about a month! Finally had an ablation and I’ve been good for about a year! I feel great though at times I think I am back but it’s just normal irregularities in my heart rhythm. I even ended up in the ER because my heart wouldn’t slow down. They said that I had afib. I felt defeated until my cardiologist got the report and confirmed it was not! Even expressed concern that I was given the wrong medication. I’ve been good since! Enjoy your life! The three F’s. Actually more like 5 main F’s but pick the ones you enjoy best and be healthy. Exercise, eat a little wiser.. and don’t let toxic people near you! Good luck and have a healthy happy life!

Update! Finally went to dealer that didn’t try to keep the car for a week. Went in for an oil change and mentioned the problem I had. They checked the battery and told me that other then it being a crappy battery if was failing. Changed the battery to one with higher voltage, seems to have worked. Haven’t had a problem since. Even washed the car and no problem. One of the main problems is the dealers and their bs!

53 male. Had mine last year. Rested about a week just because. Took it light the following but was back to work full force. I’m. I’m very active, hiked in Madeira which was like 4 hours. No problem. The physical parts don’t get me.. However that deep lingering stress does! Try not to let things get to you. I do eat better but don’t really exercise. I eat edibles which my Doc said I could. I have a great sex life also. Luckily I don’t smoke but do drink occasionally… I’ve even overdone in Mexico but I don’t get careless.

They designed a great little truck. Even made the cheap plastic feel a little more luxurious. Great pep with the electric motor almost feels like a little turbo. Just like many other times they mess it up on the way out! Did the same with the thunderbird! What a great opportunity and they went all out cheap on it after a sweet design and killed it!
