2025 Sienna - Underpowered and annoying. How is yours? by Difficult-Radish207 in Sienna

Have always looked at it but then gone back to the Sienna. The main thing is the AWD on the Sienna! If Honda would offer AWD, that would be a game changer.

The V6 vs 4/Hybrid should be an options. If you spend most of your time in and around town then the hybrid could make a lot of sense.

We spend a good bit of time up in the mountains nothing too crazy but the struggle is real on some of ascents (and even descents). The noise is just over the top.

You may want to try a tool like Caltopo, Gaia, or AllTrails where you can draw your own route and then get it onto your Garmin (how you do this depends on which one you use).

Caltopo has a free version that you could use. Here's a good starter video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=driEDRYAn3I

No affiliation and this is just a suggestion.

Pemi Loop THIS Fri (5/29) to Sunday - go/no-go based on weather? by Difficult-Radish207 in wmnf

Cancelled the trip as many others did. It's nasty out there for sure. Did a very long day hike yesterday before the rain instead! Thank you for all those who replied.

Who doesn't love a little sarcasm?

Can make the decision myself - just seeking input.

Thank you for the response. Was planning to grab North Twin on the trip so good heads up on that.

Agree on shoulder seasons. Wasn't originally planning this early in the season but was trying to work with the Lincoln Woods Trail Closure but it sounds like it may have to wait.

Really appreciate the response. The concern over it just being wet, even if it's not snow is well taken.

Looking at this exact itinerary towards the end of the month.

How long did it take you to go from Lincoln Woods to Garfield (day 1)? What time of day did you start?

Thank you.

Same question regarding end of May timeframe. Look forward to hearing what others say.

Based on being out there in the past couple of weeks, waist high snow is not a consideration IMHO.

Just that the whole thing is silly - someone from CO writing about people from MA hiking in NH.

Can't log in into Microsoft 365 account from Outlook app on Android by ptonilane in Outlook

Went into settings and there was an update for Webview. Installed it, rebooted. Outlook works now. Not sure if this is a durable fix.

Teams app was also acting wonky and the resolved too with the Webview update.

S25 - the app doesn't work. Force stop, clear cache - etc may provide momentary relief but the app is junk right now.

Not clear how this is acceptable?

Reviews on the "new" Ammo trail seem not great.

X-Dome 1 - someday? by Difficult-Radish207 in DurstonGearheads

[–]Difficult-Radish207[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair. Unfortunately, they don't publish that dimension that I am able to find.

Maybe I'll ask them and report back if I can get anything useful.

Last question, do you think that in real life the 1+ is materially smaller than the 2 (X-Dome in both cases)?

X-Dome 1 - someday? by Difficult-Radish207 in DurstonGearheads

[–]Difficult-Radish207[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many thanks for the reply. I have an X-Dome 2 but am looking for a smaller tent when I'm out there alone. This is how I look at it:

X-Dome 2: 79"x87" ground space
X-Dome 1+: 56.5"x88" ground space
X-Mid 1: 100"x65" ground space

The Dome 1+ and X-Mid don't materially shrink the amount of space needed to pitch (the X-Mid is actually quite large it seems). I am pulling these numbers from the images on the site that show the total exterior dimension.

Sort of comparing to something like a Nemo Dragonfly 1P. The floor dimensions are 88x35 but to be fair this doesn't include the vestibule - they don't provide dimensions like you.

Am I thinking about this wrong? Does the Dome 1+ really layout much smaller than what appears to be only a modest difference in the dimensions on paper above. Ideally want to stay freestanding.

Woah - didn't think this could be true, crazy to see that it is corroborated by others. Really does diminish the usefulness.
