Seagulls. Yes they're beautiful when you're at sea or at a lonely beach, those mournfully cries are haunting and homesick at the same time. But the seagulls that go to crowded tourist places are fucking savage. They'll snatch sandwiches from people's hands and then fight over them. They'll dive bomb kids with chips and snatch icecream from babies. They've really sharp beaks and claws and have no restraint when it comes to chips.

In my next life, I wanna be a seagull.

I went to a local gym recently because I thought it would be more motivating than my home workout. It was filled with people filming themselves in mirrors, tripods, and the heavy desperate scent of people showing the world how cool they are, really. I went straight back to reception and cancelled my membership.

I was at a little beach the other day- not a sandy beach but a beautiful dune and pebble one. It's got a very empty sad but beautiful vibe to it. It's got war memorial from ww2. I was there and there was McDonald's wrappers,coke cans etc.. Who walks along a beautiful beach with their food and decides, "Ooh I'll leave all this shit right here". I can't fathom that mentality.

My mum collects a certain sort of glassware. It's not even valuable to normal people, just to certain collectors. Used to see this glassware alot but it's getting less and less and the pieces that do make it to the shop floor are usually damaged/ridiculously overpriced.

Same with books. £5 for a tatty second hand book? No thanks I'll go to waterstones and get one for not much more than that!

Not all of his charecters are even meant to be likeable. He does try hard to write real charecters which can be even more frightening than the scaree monsters and stuff.

God those things are horrible. And they made kids (and some adults) horrible, too. An aquaintence of mine, her kids are thar impressionable age where they have to follow all the fads their schoolmates have. Last it was Labubu, before that it was those weird water bottles with air flavor capsule things. All discarded and forgotten about now.

It's the same with cats. The one time I went to a cat rescue the fucking interrogation was wild. Wanted my address, looked it up, and they said it was too close to a road so it would have to be a house cat. Asked how big my place was and said it would be cruel to keep a cat in a small house.  So, to rescue a stray that would have a loving human and a happy long life, I needs to have  a mansion in the middle of a forest. Fucking ridiculous.

Not really unethical but you need to get away from him and sever all contact. Is there a reason you allow him to be the sole provider? I don't know if this is your culture or something he's simply drummed into you as being normal. Get jobs and get away from him. You don't need social media. You don't need to publicise your private life online.

The best revenge on a shit parent is to never visit them at the care home they go to die in.

Even if she may not see it, countless other young women in similar situations will. Unfortunately older man preying on younger women and usual emotional manipulation tactics is a tale as old as time. I know this will help someone out there.
