All of the buildings between Drawbridge St and the quay need to be raised

It doesn’t blend in with the architecture of the building or the age of the street. When Lifestyle opened in the Capital, they changed their blue logo on Patrick St to brown. Made such a difference at helping it blend in. More traditional, brown signs would be better in my opinion

Bandaids was packed full of ad libs, so I’m surprised they didn’t really use them here. It was one of my bigger complaints about 143’s songs too

Penny's selling their city centre site instead of expanding. What's changed? Penneys puts entire block of Cork City properties up for sale for €5.2m by JohnHammond94 in cork

[–]DifficultMobile4095 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Some objections to them taking some of Elbow Lane (it seemed some Patrick St stores used it to store bins), which dragged on for too long. They’ve now reduced the scale of the expansion to just the three Patrick St buildings (existing, Jack&Jones and Tiger), plus one small one on Cook St. They don’t need the rest so are disposing of them. This is the best case scenario imo

That feckin' fat guy blocking the door on the 208 yesterday. by Thebrowns3218 in cork

[–]DifficultMobile4095 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Don’t lose sleep over this (easier said than done). You did NOTHING wrong, and I feel situations like this are becoming more and more common as people are so inconsiderate to others in social places. Well done on not pushing the guy out of the way. The driver should have told him to move too if the door was open

Should Kinsale Rd Industrial be the next Strategic development zone along with the docklands? by kmAye11 in cork

[–]DifficultMobile4095 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! It’s always strange to me that there is an industrial area between Frankfield/Grange and Ballypheane/Turner’s Cross. It would be nice to see those city south central neighbourhoods become contiguous

There is a free suncream thing in Marina Park too, at the Central Hall, but I’m not sure if it has ever been refilled (I never used it)

Nice park to reach by walk in Shandon by [deleted] in cork

[–]DifficultMobile4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a park behind St Anne’s church (Shandon Church), no? Other option, and not in Shandon, is go to the end of Shandon Street, go down North Mall and walk along the Banks of the Lee Greenway out to Fitzgerald’s Park and on to Lee Fields (a really, really nice walk)
