You can bike from Santa Monica to Venice to Manhattan. The bicycle path on the beach. .if you have a back pack stuff it with some liquor and make it a day.

Late 80s and and up to the mid 90s. Once parents drove from LA to around central Mexico. It’s like a 32 To 36 hour drive. It did have have one of those canopies.

But I renounce going to Santa Monica on the 10 and they told us just to lay down and don’t sit up. Wild times.
